Well, the time has come to finally reveal tonight's results. This is the most exciting and yet worst part of the evening, I was down there in the green room back in Reykjavik so I know the ups and downs the results can throw at you. The procedure will be as follows: we will call each competing delegation 1 by 1 in an order created by the producers to create the most exciting sequence as they could. The first 7 votes will appear on screen, and the spokesperson will then read out the 8, 10 and the all important douze points, twaalf punten. Got it? Antwerp, are you ready?!?!?! Let's start with debutants Guernsey then shall we? Good evening Harry in St Peter Port!
Good evening Belgium, good evening Daily Song Contest, this is Guernsey calling, the smallest DSC country this season, but the one with the biggest heart of course. Bedankt for the amazing show tonight it was a great welcome into the contest. Anyway, all the votes tonight has seemed to crash the network on BBC Radio Guernsey but we do have a final televoting result, and here it is from 1 to 7:

Well, wasn't that tense, after 5 countries, 5 different countries have received the 12 points which is why it is so close at the top of the leaderbord now with Iceland leading it to start with just like they did in Stockholm last season. Just 1 point behind are the US and Finland, and just to clarify, tiebreaks are dtermined by the amount of different countries who have voted for them, that'll explain why the US lie ahead of Finland in the table. Anyway that's all from now, don't go anywhere because we'll be calling Norway just after this commercial break. Tot Ziens!
Sidenote - I know I said I'd start the results tomorrow but then I realised yesterday that I won't be around on Friday so pushed it back a day. Those who haven't voted can still vote but I'm setting Tuesday as the new deadline.
