 [HC] Tour of Beijing
The last HC stage race of the season is the Tour of Beijing. 5 stages should decide the winner. The winner might get important points here in the rankings battle.
The race is definitely not an easy one. A tough hilly stage to start with, and after an easy stage 2 two very tough medium-mountain stages. The hilly stage at Mentougou in stage 4 should be a decider, before a relatively flat stage 5.

The field has definitely attracted some of the strongest puncheurs in the division. They can count on three stages suiting them, and in these stages we should expect a close GC battle between many riders.

The two sprint stages have attracted quite a few sprinters. With the field being so wide in terms of sprinters, we should see some extremely close stages in the end.

Out socring Karcher by a fair amount will do here and help us gain 7th it should be the case as long as Risa don't score a massive amount too |

Craven will be aiming for a top 80 GC and maybe a top 50 on a stage. Hoffman will be looking to perform well in the sprints - maybe sneaking into the top 30 once or twice. Some tough expectations from me and I know I'm asking a lot from them, but hopefully the can achieve it!

Not the biggest startlists with some stars missing like McCarthy, Kelderman, Ben Nasser, LLS.
Great chance for Gazelle to go past Puma again.
Relegation wise Chernobyl with a nice opportunity while Africa surely hopes for a better Craven this time.
Euskaltel will have hard times here as the sprinter field is super strong and Bouhanni normally should struggle against Kupfernagel, Ahlstrand and Avelino.
Behind them he though should fight with Hoffman, Enger and Granjel Cabrera for some points.
Really interesting race on both ends and that startlist makes it even more interesting. |

Cheering for Prio there, they would deserve something big after such an unfortunate year.
Picking Monfort or VdHugenhaben to take the overall win and Ahlstrand for the sprints. If Swedbank makes a perfect train he'll be really hard to beat. Hoping Avelino will do something though, he's been really really inconsistent so far.

Hoping for some crap performances by Landa and Guillen so I can cut their wages even more.
VdH to take the win as the biggest favourite since Costa just dont have it unfortunatly.

The first stage is a hilly one, meaning this race will probably be a huge success or a big miss, depending on if we're able to get a rider in that breakaway, as racing this season has shown it's very likely the breakaway will stay away with the opener being rated hilly.
It feels like we've a good team here, even a decent one for PCT standards, which will probably make it a miss, as we've got some riders that could "force" the others to stay inactive. Though, here's for hoping!
Difficult to pick a winner, but it will be interesting to see if Monfort can get momentum going again for Gazelle. And is this the race where Roy finally decides to do something!?
Thanks for the preview, and I'm looking forward to the reports, Selwink. Though, I will probably not read any of them before late Monday, as I'm leaving early tomorrow.

Happy with the startlist, those medium mountain stages should really suit Kwiatkowski as he has the best mountain stat of the favourites. I think a podium is definitely possible for him.
At least one advantage of us promoting is that we won't be confused with Project anymore |
