I already considered it enough punishment, as the good riders are basically all gone in the rounds before. I think I said before already that after the last round there would still be an option like this to fill your team and on the other hand never said that there would be a punishment if the team is not filled by the end of round 3. For some teams it's not really their fault that they haven't filled their team like Specialize that bid for riders in every round.
Also it gives an option to all teams to add another 1/2 riders to finalize the team the way they want it.
What do you guys think? Any other oppinions? |

Its ok for me, but then no add for the basic price, Lets just be 1,2-1,5x basic price, like if were a virtual bidding. |

Well, I would hardly call Klaas Lodewyck a good rider, yet he costed 370 so bwiggins could fill his team in time. It just doesn't feel right that other people can buy a similar rider for about half the price now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think a punishment would be stupid.
1) the transfer season was always supposed to last three rounds. Why would one suddenly punish those who use the last one
2) it was never announced there would be punishment. Adding rules like that afterwards is a no-go.
I for example already knew that I would use this round since round 2.3 was finished because the other signings depended on whether I could get Fuglsang which is completely within the rules.
So for this season it should not even be considered to add but
I would also be against punishments for further seasons:
- Mainly because the pool of riders is already punishment enough. There are simply no good options for points in any division available but you will be limited to domestiques anyway.
- in many cases it is not your fault when you get overbidded in the last round as you can't react quickly the way transfers work in ICL. E.g. In mg if you need one last rider and you get overbidded then you can simply jump to the next rider on your list while in ICL you have to wait an entire round / are chanceless to fill your team in round 3.
- it's the own fault of teams who bid high to fill their squad. They could have simply chosen another way cheaper rider. That's simply a management decision everyone everyone has to do: pick plan A for high wage or take a cheaper option B a bit later.
And sorry jaxika, but the idea of going up to 1.2-1.5 x basic price is pointless. What you propose is just another word to describe a punishment
Imo domestiques already get too much wage even when paid min wage. And most of them don't get paid more than min wage or perhaps 5-10 more in case they go to round x.2. So your argument of the virtuell bidding price is already wrong. And you rarely see that someone pays 350 and more for Lodewyck. Why someone does that? I don't know but they were not forced to that and if you overpay so much for these kind of riders then it's your own fault when they could have paid a slightly worse rider 250.
If they were good enough to help teams a lot the would have been picked earlier!

Ah, I was going to go for him, last round, but alas I only had 275 left and I really wanted a potion of youth, so I settled for Larsson!

Wait! So you're telling me you didn't have to fill out your team this round? And you can now buy similar domestiques for their minimum price if you're quick enough?
Haven't read anything about this, so feel a bit pissed off...

Well, I understand knockout's point of view, but I had the same reasoning as bwiggins. It was said there would be 3 FA rounds (as always) and the current system gives people a 4th FA round. While no real punishment was announced, it was made pretty clear there would be 3 FA rounds to fill your team, after which Bikex would fill it. I assumed you would either get a penalty, either get a random or bad rider. The system as it is now gives people a 4th FA round where you can get the rider of your choice for 100% guaranteed minimum wage. In my opinion, that's an unfair advantage compared to the people who overpayed riders to make sure they get the team filled within the assigned 3 FA rounds.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

But you can't punish people who dirctly asked about this via PM before...
You can discuss about whether it's unfair or not for next season but you can't punish people for something that was communicated another way round by the organisator bikex, who by the way did a fantastic job both with the whole concept as well as with the administration of the ICL this offseason!

Firstly it's nowhere near half the price, and secondly there is no sprinter as decent as Lodewyck in terms of Sprinting, Potential, Age and BackUp Stats left...
Spoiler sry for the double post by the way, I'm on my phone

I just looked and I actually wrote in the Round 3 description that there would still be an option to sign rider afterwards. I'm sorry that it wasn't clearly communicated, but in the end you could've known and didn't have to throw money out the window in the last round. |

I really did hope to fill my team this round, but the price for Lodewyck got too high for my comfort. Sorry bwiggins, please don't be mad at me
To Bikex, I agree that there should be some sort of negative impact regarding failing to complete a team, but that would be something to discuss for next season I suppose, though I actually misinterpreted the rules for round 3 and expected there to be a penalty of sorts, namely an increase of price for the rider(s) you give the non-filled teams.

Exactly, this was what I was referring to. Adding a punishment afterwards for this season is a absolute MUST NOT do. That this even gets discussed ...
Still stand by my POV and would strongly recommend to keep this rule for next season due to above mentioned reasons (although it seems legit to set a very harsh deadline for this task.)
@ Ollfardh I think last year it went equal equal to this year with the only difference that the filling up up was made via PM. Could be wrong though.
@Rider One has to respect the legends of the sport so if someone like Hushovd is available , I simply had to go for him.

I made the same mistake as bwiggins last year, and signed one too many riders just to be sure. It turned out ok in the end for me because Aarts was needed to fill out my race days in the end.

Now finally the last thing that will require me to do db work:
U23 Team Selection: https://www.mediafire.com/download/10h...ction.xlsx (Only for teams with dev teams)
Please open the last db and sort the riders by their team, copy your entire team and paste it in cell A1 (the red one). Then open the table U23 selection. There you'll see all your riders listed, next to them there is a field either colored red, green or orange. If its read the rider isn't eligible for your U23 team, if it's green or orange the rider is. The field will be orange if the rider has an average of over 71 and could also do good in the main team.
Your U23 team needs 8-10 riders. But make sure your main team won't have too less riders then.
The added up wage of your dev team should be 1000-1500. In the end if you've done everything correctly K3 - K5 will have turned green.
When done send me columns A-G of the U23 Selection table.
Budgetplanning: https://www.mediafire.com/download/3ob...nning.xlsx(for everyone with money left)
Here you can decide how much on your money you want to spend for research and scouting. After putting your team ID in decide on a talent focus (0-100) and an amount you want to use for research.
I'd like you to use all your money for those two together. Money can't be taken over into next season. If you don't send in anything everything will be used for research. |

Your wage can be under 1000 if you have enough talent focus, right?
