So I failed my fucking learner's permit test today. I was told that you needed 20/40 vision in one eye to pass the test. But when I get there, they make me look into these binoculars, and the first column is only visible with your left eye! I can't read with my left eye. I read the second two columns completely right and told them I could read anything with both eyes, but they just said nah, told me to get a form filled out by my eye doctor and to make another appointment.
The first available appointment is January 8th. FML and fuck the DMV.

so 20/40 is like 0.5 in Germany.
we need 0.63 though to get the permit. Normally I am below that standard, but I was a bit lucky in guessing the symbols right

Well you only need 20/40 in one eye based on the law here. With my glasses, my right eye is 20/20. the problem is they made me use both.

I don't remember getting my vision checked for the permit test. LOL

I do it was some super easy (sorry to the visually challenged) light test thing. You looked through binocular things and coloured dots showed up in different areas and you had to tell them where the red dot was or something with your finger.

Jeez. I can see dots with both my eyes, they wanted me to read really small letters.

There's no inquistion, a thread to discuss Cycling Documentaries already existed. Pointless duplicate threads will always be locked. If you want to talk about The Program you can do it in the pre-existing thread for such a discussion. It is really very simple

Bunch of BS if you ask me.
Like our cities aren't depressing enough, they should now build equal buildings as far as the eye can see? These brick eyesores?
I tell you the perfect bike city: No cars allowed, way more green, trees, grass, water, don't make ugly ass buildings, don't make people so pussies that they can't ride through a bit of rain.
That's just my opinion, though |

Why would you cover bike paths? that's just strange, what's wrong with riding outside anyway? This just sounds like a strange idea in general.
Perfect bike city is pretty much Amsterdam/Copenhagen I guess without cars and greener, etc.
The only other thing is without cars.

Why cover bike paths? Rain. The thing with that article is that he doesn't refer to road cyclists, but more to the "normal" cyclist, i guess. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense, because most road cyclists would prefer riding not in cities at all, i guess.
