Clear reversal whos the top dog at Astana now, Vino doesn't trust Nibs that much.
Nibali has been indicating he was targeting the Giro next year for a long time, so really no surprise there. Pretty sure this is Nibali deciding he wants to win the Giro again, with a route that really suits him, which is a much more likely possibility than beating Quintana and Froome at the Tour, rather than some sort of Astana decision. Saying that the rider who is targeting the Tour is clearly the top dog in the team doesn't make much sense - was Valverde clearly the 'top dog' in Movistar in 2014? I don't think so.

I don't doing Nibali wants to do the Giro but to say he is still number one at Astana doesn't ring true for me. Nibali is the better rider without a doubt but Vino has shown he doesn't like the guy unless he's winning, he is building a team around Aru and from the outside looks like he has more time for the guy. Nibali will be gone after next season and Aru won't be, Nibali is the better rider but Aru is number one at Astana now

In saying that Aru better be careful because if/when he gets his arse handed to him at next years Tour then he might not find Vino to be all the friendly

Finishing third is going to get his ass handed to him? Only two tour names are better.
Him and Nibbles would be in the same spot going into the tour so I dont see the point unless to say Vino is just an idiot.

I said if he gets his arse handed to him, he's not a garaunteed to finish third either.

The positive test was made doing Tour de l'Avenir stage 6
Wikipedia search says that it's a stimulant that was used as a treatment for ADHD before they discovered it could cause liver failure. Budyak might be lucky he got caught in that case.

One would think, yeah. But i don't think he considers himself lucky right now. Maybe in a few years when he is older and whiser, he will understand what kind of shit he tried to ruin his body with.

Sagan complaining about modern tehcnology: Boy, this actually sounds a lot like Avin to me with his rant against the widgets on the site hehe
After reading that I honestly don't know what the hell he is on about, was he misquoted or is he actually an idiot? The respect thing is neither here nor there to me, yeah he might be right but lack respect in the peloton isn't anything new. He clarified his statement to about the general problem of the world, what? And the Tech thing is baffling aswell. Why oh why do people ask questions to sportspeople outside of the sporting sphere? Most don't achieve what they do from a superior intellect and clearly Sagan shows that.
I feel that I wasted a few minutes of my life.... Cheers Shonak

Features:
Pau-Bagneres-de-Luchon, some Andorra action, Mont Ventoux, Morzine, Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc, Some Switzerland action tossed in there, 1 Hilly Short ITT, 1 37km ITT.
The art of decent from a mountain, is really gonna come into play on this course, while we still have some amazing uphill finishes.
Looking forward to seeing what kinda hilly/flat stages we have for the rest of the tour. To me it looked like they had a good few flat stages, and not so many with a hill right before the finish line, perhaps this is the year sagan will finally loss his grip on the green jersey.
Overall for the stages that you can view already, i'm very pleased with what i see.
Should really be discussing this in the race thread...
BUT, I like it as well. Northern France is extremely reduced which is super, already going into the Massifs at stage 5 and starting the Pyrenees with a sneaky finish going over the hard side of Aspin. Next stage is probably the closest to a queen stage, but its before the Arcalis, so I dont expect to much of it GC-wise at the end of the day. Arcalis is way better than 2009, thats always something.
Ventoux is a beast and I love that climb. ITT right after and then a super interesting stage to Culoz over Colombier, I like that. Up and down all of the day. Emosson is probably the hardest finish of this year Tour with the Forclaz making for a super, super hard 1-2 combo. A semi mountanious ITT right after could hamper the action, but considering how hard Emosson is, I dont think its something to worry bout. I feel like the two last stages are relatively lackluster, they arent super hard either of them, but features some brutal climbs in the end.
Australian Conti team African Wildlife Safaris (one of the best domestic teams down under) won't race in 2016 - due to lack of another prime sponsor. The article also says, that similar news will follow, so I guess this won't be the only team folding/stepping back. Obviously bad news for cycling in Australia and surely an indicator of how hard it is to keep smaller teams running on a professional level. Wonder what will happen to the National Road Series then: Drapac didn't race it anymore, AWS and at least a few more seem to follow..
