Decent result for Grosu. Bit weird Räim did a lot of the chasing, would rather have seen him saving himself in order to be able to give a better lead-out. Hopefully this will occur in the next stage.

Really glad Zabel took it - after I had to report last year's breakaway festival here
EDIT: Oh, and of course nice to see Afewerki doing so well! He learnt it from Goss this year..........

Well nothing exciting really happened in the first two stages for the Becherovka team. But maybe that is a good thing before harder terrains come.
Good win for Zabel.

Good to see Fritsch on the TV and then Losch out in the break. Ewan sprinted pretty well i think but obviously he'll be a much bigger threat next year and beyond.

Zabel is brute force sprinter here, good lead out for Groeney... edmondson certainly a bit of PT class I feel in the chase work.
Congrats Heine!

Decent 23rd for 69 sp Martinelli Even though many non sprinters did so much better but well
Congrats Heine, nice to see that Zabel is living up to the really high expectations

Kung has done well staying out of trouble in this stage, shame he lost so much time in the opening stage but hopefully he can bounce back when the hills and mountains hit to secure a decent GC result.

Good stage for the team with Manfred now leading the KoM. Would be great if he could hold that, but it's too early to predict anything in that competition.
Otherwise a great win for Zabel, congrats Heine. |

Seems like Korsaeth enjoying riding in DeLavals jersey, a good top 10 on the prologue and then finish 16th on the sprint stage.
Nice seeing Zabel winning, congrats Heine! |

Sending Zabel to a race like this is just straight up cheating.

Very nice to see Pibernik in the break. Having one rider in the whole race and he joins the break just in the first stage.
Congratz to Volkswagen. That was a heavy sprint.

Varhanik tried to join the break, this stage is a success.
131st and 142nd But at least they tried.
Congrats Heine and thanks for the great report SN.

Edmondson working all stage, then leading out. No surprise Groenewegen had to go early...missed opportunity there unfortunately. 4th still at least something but hope for a bit more on the other sprint stages.
Nice to see Zabel winning this one though. |

Cool to see Zabel win after last year's misses. Congrats, Heine!
Suspect the lack of support for Holst Enger showed itself there with him struggling to position himself. A 7th place is okay in those circumstances, I'd say.
Looking forward to the first real test for the overall contenders! |

Nice win from Zabel, even from that distance he couldn't be beaten.
Congratulations to Heine.

Frame with a solid start in the prologue, unexpected result and a bit disappointed in myself that he won't be getting better this season.
Hoping to see him or Milos in the breakaways.
