Thanks for most of the content of this thread goes to SN and Count Arach.
While we don't know where the World Championships will be held yet, we do know the format of the courses:
RR - Mountainous
TT - Still some climbing, but flat rated
TTT - Mountainous
You can now use this thread to nominate a rider for the TTT, ITT, B Road Race and Elite Road Race. Riders are not nominated for the U23 race, and if they are picked for an Elite race they can not ride the U23 version of that race. This means that mangers with U23 riders need to decide now whether they want them to race in the elite category or not. You can only nominate riders from your own team, or riders you own who are loaned out this season. Nations may potentially change races if they have a weaker selection than expected, so nomination is key!
You can also volunteer to be a selector for a Nation. In this case you will be able to vote to select the squad that will ride the races.
Please check that a nation will participate in a race before nominating a rider from that country. Nominations will be taken for the reserve nations - but of course they may not necessarily participate, while South Africa will also be open for nominations, as a potential host that is not guaranteed a spot in many races.

Numbers of riders per nation in the Road Races are yet to be finalised - the plan is for 8 but that may not be possible for all nations. TTTs will be teams of 8, while ITTs are teams of 2.
---
The following guidance is taken from last year's thread - and the year before. Reserve teams do exist this season, while nations may change races if their lineups are considered too weak. Thanks to SN.
The first step towards creating the team is the nomination process. Each team may nominate as many or as few of their own riders to ride in the world championships. The selectors then choose from the available riders to create the road race, time trial and team time trial squads. So every rider nominated in this thread will be made available for all three squads – this thread is for nominations for the road race, time trial and team time trial squads. The only exception is if a nation is participating in one event but not in others (for example it is in the TT and not the RR), in which case the riders nominated will obviously only be available for whatever their nation qualifies for. When nominating your riders please give their full name, as it makes it much easier for me to keep track.
With loaned riders, both the team which is loaning them and also the team that they are being loaned to may nominate them. Remember that only nominated rides may be chosen by the selectors, meaning that the worlds will only be contested by riders from active teams who nominate them. The only exception is in the team time trial where, if there are not enough nominated riders from teams, I will fill out each team from riders without a contract.
Teams who do not have enough riders nominated may be downgraded a level. For example if a team which is allowed to select 6 riders only has 4 who are nominated, they will be downgraded to only bringing 3 riders to the race. So it is worth nominating even just domestiques from these ‘smaller’ nations. To compensate for this one of the countries who qualify only 3 riders initially will now be bumped up to 6 riders.
Further, any teams whose most suitable riders aren't nominated may be withdrawn and replaced by one of the reserve teams. This means that if the only big star of a small country is not nominated that country will lose its position to the next reserve team in line. Thus nominating riders for the reserve teams is important.
You can also volunteer to become a selector for any of the countries in the WC. If you want this please say so in your post or you will miss out.
- To do this, you must have a rider in your team from that country, even if you are not nominating them.
- Once the nominations are in, I PM the selectors for each and every country, they then make their team selections, and the most selected riders are those who get to ride. If there are still any ties after 3 rounds of voting I will provide the tiebreaking vote.
- The more selectors a country has, the better. This is a great way to influence the game and a very fun part of the process, even if none of your riders are directly affected.
If you are confused about any of this post your question below and myself or one of the other experienced people will answer your question. If you haven’t done this before then it is also a good idea to check out last year’s thread for an example of what you have to do to nominate riders and become a selector:
https://pcmdaily.c...d_id=32233
Under 23 Startlists
Riders not selected for the Elite Road Race and aged 23 or under as of 26th September 2015 will be available for the U23 Road Race (so they must be born in October 1992 or later). Likewise riders not selected for the Elite Time Trial will be available for the U23 Time Trial. The startlists for these races will be compiled by the reporters from the available riders. Note that these do not have to be nominated at any point – all eligible riders will be available for selection.

I thought I read something like 1991 and earlier first, which didn`t make sense anyway. |

As far as I understood SN it would be possible to nominate a U23 rider for the Elite TTT, while still riding the U23 RR and U23 TT - Is that correct? If so, this will be my nominations:
Elite RR:
Simon Spilak
Riccardo Ricco
Markus Eibegger
B Race:
Martin Hacecký
Piter Campero
TT(T):
Jerome Coppel
Yoann Paillot
Mathieu Bernaudeau
Markus Eibegger
Simon Spilak
Riccardo Ricco
Panagiotis Vlatos
The TT riders are also nominated for the TTT. If possible to ride both U23 TT, U23 RR and Elite TTT then these two will also be nominated for the TTT:
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier
Yuriy Vasyliv
I would like to be selector for these:
France
Slovenia
Italy
Czech Republic
Greece
Bolivia

Please think before just nominating any rider. Makes it much easier to organise if you don't nominate riders who have no chance of ever being selected.
Will nominate mine later.

Unfortunately same "problem" like last year, where i mentioned that, i really see no reason in nominating shitty riders guys, they will only make the process longer and more confusing. The list is already full of low50s mountain stat guys??? Also wouldnt everything be better if people listed the actual races that they nominate riders for like SotD did? Because it does not make sense to nominate 50 mountain guy for a road race, but it does make sense for the relatively flat TT...

It's actually cleaner just to have one list per country. The only case a distinction needs to be made is specifying TTT only for any U23 riders you want to be in the U23 races. There are only 2 spots per nation available for TT specialists, and the reality is that while the course will not be mountainous, it will not be pan flat either and will feature some climbing. Really just needs common sense from managers.

But in the introduction of this thread it says something like being downgraded if you don't nominate enough riders so I wanted to avoid that. |

The problem with copying and pasting text from past years is that some parts are irrelevant. It used to be that the Worlds was split into teams of 9, 6 and 3 riders - now all have 8.
The main reason for downgrades will be if a nation's strongest rider is not nominated, if they were the main/only reason that a nation received a spot in that race.
So for smaller nations it may be that you nominate weaker riders as there's a good chance they will be amongst the best 8 options. But that really isnt the case for the much stronger nations. And regardless of that, nominating more than 8 riders for Argentina really makes no sense.

Oh okay. Got that wrong.
I just got confused with the nation's strongest riders so I didn't want to leave Haedo and Richeze behind. They didn't need to be nominated for this course.
And I hesitated with Rosas because I'm not sure if B Worlds also has a TT race or if B is just road. |
