Thanks for telling us.
I downgraded to Windows 7 again. I am now installing the game again. Normally, I should be on the server from tomorrow evening on. I will test a bit with the weight penalties.
As far as I know, I need to set the weight penalties, f.e. for Luigi, everytime, he joins, unless we have some upgrades for the cars, like in another mod I spotted. I will look into the other mod and try to implement it into our mod if possible.

Even though the poll results said that everyone uses the same set up provided by a driver, I think it would be best that a set - up is provided which you can tweak, now we need to find a person who can provide a setup, so who feels confident that they can provide a setup that everyone can use and tweak? |

Oh no! The setup discussion again. Everyone should use their own setup and if someone gets asked for their setup he shall hand it out. Setups are like shoes. What fits me, might not fit you and vice versa.

IMPORTANT
The newest update!
Instead of putting some weights in the car(which didn't went to plan as I needed to put 200kg in my car to bring me down and that would extremely effect my car, as everyone who would bounce into me would get much more damage.)...I just turned down the engines. The 1st will get 10% less power, the 2nd 6.66666% less power and the 3rd 3.33333% less power. I tested it. It should work fine.
Just install the update in the obvious place and here some more info.
For the first 3:
You need to select the power downgrade under "Car" -> "Upgrades" -> "Engine"
Check which place in the Ranking you guys have. After each race, it gets actualized, which means that, f.e. if TMM wins all races and I donb't finish he will lead very soon, which means that he will get the full penalty.
P.S.: I can check afterwards, if somebody didn't use the upgrades. If somebody didn't select one, which he should have done, he will be DQd. Pretty simple. So be sure to check.

So for Surfers i would need to use the upgrade to reduce my power by 3.33% as i am 3rd in the Championship?

Let's see how it goes. If it creates closer racing then it's all good. I expect it won't be perfect for Surfers and will take a bit of tweaking to get spot-on.
Classic though, we have two races where the win is decided at the final turn and decide we need to make things more even

I going to offer you the possibility to get your cars more personalized.
So... what does that mean?
-> For the first time you are able to choose your own car number. You can choose from 01 up to 99. Before answering me please check if the number is used by another driver, if YES, you may ask him if you can get it.
In a later status of the project you have the opportunity to add some sponsors etc., just write me and I can see what's possible for me right now (but I will tell you when it's possible)
Up to now the car numbers are distributed like this:

Okay, so here are some results, first of all only on one car. I you want your cars get designed like that, just let me know. I made the glass darker, clean transition between glass and metal, numbers & name (a bit) bigger, rear window is now heated, added a driver name sign and a bigger flag, 'cause big thing are better
Let me know what you think. Any further ideas?
Next steps:
- editing sponsor on the windscreen to "PCM.daily"-style [Project GT -> PCM.daily]
- adding a "license (sponsor) plate"
- maybe uhm... more stickers... 'cause stickers makes my car go faster
