Jack Bobridge is back in the WT with Trek https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/bobri...ry-racing/ Surprised to find this out, he is a immensely talented rider but suffers from rheumatoid arthritis which caused him issues racing and training at the highest level, also he's aiming to be in Rio next year on the track which was one of the main reasons he raced with Budget Forklifts this season as they have a deal with the Aus track team, there are a few track racing with the BF team.

That's.. odd. Especially due to the fact he's heavily focused on the track at the moment. Is it a long term deal?

Only a one year deal which makes it even odder, he is talented and from what I've read he won't be riding any GT's next season which might help him as his body couldn't hold up over 3 weeks. Noway he would of signed on with Trek unless they give him the program he wants leading upto the Olympics and if he wins gold then I guess Trek see marketing value with him in Australia. Should be interesting to watch

Astana renew with Tiralongo, Rosa and Cataldo for 2 more years. Guessing Astana are hanging onto the Italian clique
Also the Pirazzi Lampre rumour came to nothing with him extending with Bardiani

Tiralongo 2 more years for real?! Wow. If he continues to ride like this seaosn, I say: Chris Horner better watch out, someone is coming for the oldest GT winner record.

And with that, American team Trek no longer have a single American. Remember RadioShack?
Anyway, good move for Busche. He can focus on doing well on the PCT circuit, because is a decent climber and getting older. Just doing nothing at Trek won't help him.

Not only the Italian clique, but the Aru-clique. Where ever he goes, those 3 goes. Possibly the last try in 2016 for the Giro. Biggest rival? Mikel Landa, former teammate.
Stay tuned! |

I don't think Trek see themselves as an American team, they have an American licence and are an American company but the market for Trek bikes is worldwide, the teams website mentions all the nationalities involved with the team. All the team is an extension of the Trek marketing department.
Oh and Modolo is staying with Lampre and Fabio Silvestre (Trek) looks like he is retiring or taking time off from cycling.

It will be curious to see who goes to the Giro for Astana next season, Nibali has said he wants to and I think Aru has said he wants to, you would think after what's played out this season that Aru gets to call the shots. Also I'd need to see the field before saying that Landa is Aru's biggest threat in next years Giro, actually no I don't! Landa won't be winning next years Giro

I heard different. Aru wants the Tour, Nibali the Giro.
If it's that, there's no problem.
And Landa is now Team Sky, so he'll probably have to lead the team at the Vuelta. Though the Giro could be possible as well. |

What I thought Aru said is that he would like to ride the Tour but the Giro was still his goal, I could be wrong as the cycling media often reports many different versions of someone comments. As far as Landa goes I'd think that part of the negotiations with Sky was the he would be the leader at the Giro and if you look at Sky's squad/possible squad it would make sense as they don't look all that keen on giving Konig outright leadership and who knows what Thomas will be aiming for next year, they say he's switching focus to stage racing but you'd think he would be co-leader at most at this stage. I'm far from convinced he will ever win a GT unless it's TT heavy like the 2012 Tour.
