Congrats Avin, this already looks like everyone else will be racing for 2nd.

Fairly unhappy with Rein for not sticking to Pluchkin like glue, but he's still on the podium, and now he's got 3 hilly stages before the next mountain stage where I'm expecting to claw back some time

Wow Avin's GC-double tactic paying off heavingly so far - what a form Pliuckhin is in! Shock

Really great TdF so far from a somewhat neutral point of view and more than happy to see TJ Slagter involved in a break-away in a MT stage so far Smile More of that please!

Great to see Uran etc finally performing aswell after a dull Giro! Really open battle for 2nd. Thought Taaräme pre-tour but now I think Amador will nab it.

Except for Pliuchkin everyones form seems to differ alot. One day fighting for stage wins the next day barely ending inside the top 10. Podium fight all but decidet

Thanks for the great reports SN!

I guess I should be relieved that Cattaneo is even attacking, but to attack after all the main favourites is just pointless. I'm hoping for a Scarponi mid-race breakaway win to put a smile on my face!

EDIT: Needless to say, but I will say it, smashing reports to read as usual. Thanks for the effort and bit of lunchtime relief for me from inhaling paint fumes!

I'm sure Lammertink will eventually get his big win. Too bad it wasn't today. Good news is that Henao didn't lost time in what could have been a dangerous stage.

Admittedly I was hoping for a gap back to group Taaramäe there with three riders in front of Martin on the GC being left behind, but fair enough to not give it as the GC riders, Martin included, in the first peloton wasn't really pushing it, it seemed.

Tinkoff with a handy stage win there, also giving them some "free points". Congratulations, OlegTinkov!

Hopefully the next stage will be more selective with Martin at the right end of things.

Pretty sure we have 0 points here so far Grin (Or does Morton get anything for hanging on with his 3rd in the U25 competition?)

I'm switching from hoping to praying for a somewhat decent last week!

Pretty awesome attempt by TJS here again. Wouldnt mind him nabbing KoM once again - this time in the biggest circus Grin

Tinkoff and Aker is really good at break-away wins if nobody noticed, guys.

Tinkoff always get break wins in GTs, how do they do it???

And how did Serry get dropped from that group...this is worse than having no one in break at this point!

And just like that, Cattaneo loses 6mins to the main GC guys. I somehow don't believe he'll be a grand tour winner in the future.

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin OH YEAH! Another great GT Stage win and having fun in the KoM battle (but it will be hard to win it), also I think we are back in the Team Ranking fight?!

Ji back in the Top 20. Grin

Oh so close!
A strong trio of riders to get away in the breakaway there! Lopez Garcia doing as I hoped he would do in Continental races but doing it in a GT instead. Great effort from him to finish in 2nd place. Hopefully my riders will continue to be in the breakaway, especially in the Mountains to come.
Meanwhile Valls looking good still in 12th place. A top 15 in the GC would be a good result.

Too bad my riders are sleeping. Of course we have to be in BotD on stages like this and not later on. It was a perfect stage for Pichon. Too bad.

Tinkoff and Good Energy have great all round squads so have good percentages of getting in breaks and getting wins. You do need a bit of luck but the fact it could be pretty much anyone from their strong all round teams always helps.

Lucky stage there for Jose - if he can hang on to his top 5 into stage 17 I will be very happy with two hill stages left I have to pray!

Klemme suddendly attacking after doing feck all last year... It's not the acc, it must be my team name or something...

Monsalve seems to be uninjuried, thats good news. Preidler also agressive, also good news

Avin Wargunnson
Good ride by Pluchkin in the hilly stage, almost even gaining time on some of his rivals, but Rein and co. got a bit lucky there. Nice that Orange helped with pulling this time, at least our guys had a bit of a rest for a while.

Two hilly stages to go now, hopefully nothing dramatic happens.

Congrats Oleg and thanks SN! Smile
I'll be back

Finally had time to catch up a bit with the Tour.

Cool to see my boy Paavo Paajanen putting in some great work early on with Swift making the most of the early sprints. With no real GC left for Vesuvio he might even get a chance to go for a break late on...

Wow, by a mistake I though there were no flat stages left for Bewley to get some extra bonification seconds and get himself to the yellow jersey! Superb achievment he was able to get it, especially with such an impressive sprint like in stage 5! Grin

Stage 6 really wasn't the best start for Velits, I hoped for something more. Bewley obviously lost his yellow jersey, but that was expected, what a nice day to have in this Le Tour. Grin At least nice to see Vysna being active. Disappointed to see another win for Vesuvio in the next stage by Schleck, but amazingly Bewley was able to strike some really decent points for the fight for green jersey and a podium in a hilly stage is seriously impressive. Velits decent.

Stage 8 - another absolutely brilliant sprint by Bewley, so nice to see a sprint in every flat stage in this race. And good to see Bewley can be successfull even without his helpers Vesely&Boivin. The next sprint stage even Bewley was unable to win was another big success, to get 2nd-5th-10th place on a TdF stage is fantastic, especially a great result for Boivin. Congrats to Vesuvio on this win, their lead-out riders are superb.

The first Pyrenee stage was a nice suprise, Velits was active sooner than later and that is exactly the needed thing for his success in this race. Even through he lost a few seconds on the biggest favourites in the end, good riding. Another good thing - Kratochvila and Vysna in the next stage were both in a breakaway, that's a good thing for the team competition before the decisive mountain stages, hopefully they will continue to being active right till the end. The second stage in Pyrenees was sadly a bad show from Velits - to lose almost a minute to a rider like Lecuisinier, that is unacceptable.

Oh and the last stage - exactly what we have needed, every point in points competition will count a big time, Bewley thankfully to these really decent results on hilly stages still has a realistic chance to win the jersey in Paris, Pluchkin could be really close, especially if one of flat stages will end by a breakaway win or Bewley will really fail to achieve a decent result. A breakaway win or two in Alps would help quite a lot too!

From the GC point of view Velits is doing quite badly, I seriously hoped he would be at least able to fight with Uran and finish better than Dombrowski and Martin. It could be much worse though (Monsalve...). Pluchkin is looking really, really strong and he should likely take the win - what a great achievement it is going to be to see a double GT win in a season! Well, already at this moment the Pluchkin even on his wage looks like a steal, congrats Avin! Nice to see Amador and Taaramae finally being able to have a realistic hope for a podium finish in this race too.

I have some great hope for the next three stages, hopefully Bewley will be able to deliver for me once again. I need him to score big here to keep me a realistic chance for the title, especially as Vesuvio are having such a great race so far.
