Nice stage/report! Two flat stages now, were Tinkoff normally won't be in the spotlights.

Some interesting racing during first week, but from perspective of my team this race is really awful so far.

No time lost in the hills and a white jersey to earn us some points, no complaints here.

Haven't been on here for ages it seems. Great to see the game moving so well, and of course that Pluchkin is in the yellow jersey!
How come none of his big rivals are here?

Very happy with the stage win for Frank Schleck. Maybe his last big win? Certainly enjoyed watching it play out.

Andy Schleck and Madrazo went to the Giro (Schleck won), Spilak isn't doing any GTs, and the Vuelta route attracted many of the strong TT grand tour riders (Pluchkin won!).

I was happy with Guarnieri's performances, getting better and better stage by stage, but that was a little step backwards. Hard to compete really against the other teams without my superb lead out being utilised. That was the reason I won stages last year due to Luke Rowe. I just hope some of the other sprinters get booted due to the mountains soon and Rowe and Blythe survive. Which is unlikely.
In other news, Cattaneo finally fulfilling his GC leadership role. Bout bloody time. Just get a move on and move on up the GC table. 19th ain't good enough!
Thanks for the reports, they've been jolly good to read.

Hmm. Decent performance by Sicard on the 1st mountain stage which pretty much played out as expected.
A shame about the hilly stage. Like ember, I don't really see any reason to be hesistant in that situattion. Just go, get the seconds, challenge for the stage win. Now it's just a waste of energy.
I like the initiative, though. |

Another solid sprint from Kristoff, not really contesting for a top three, but he's up there and grabbing some nice placings. Also good to see Martin up there and alert, just one more flat stage until this Tour really gets going.
Bewley in his own league in that sprint, no one even close to follow his acceleration. Impressive!
Thanks for another report, SN. |

I would be scared that my entire team would collapse due to a MASSIVE wage increase

Zabel up there again, but noone can bean Bewley. I wonder what he will demand in wage next year. How many wins he got now?
I'm pretty sure Bewley this year got around the same amount of wins that my team has had during my entire time playing the mangame...

Nice to see you popping up here niconico, Metinvest manager was a fan of B&O project and thus we will try to earn that TdF win with Pluchkin also as the reminder of your team, i remember cheering for him in several unlucky Tours. He has a Vuelta win already this year
Just caught up with the three latest stages (thanks for great reports SN) and what a pleasant read that was, Aleksandr already in yellow, gaining valuable points and being attentive also in the hilly stage, not giving Rein a chance so far. No survive that flat stage and after that, we are facing four very important stages, two hilly and two with large mountains, hopefully Pluchkin will still wear the most prestigious jersey after these.
Congrats to stage winners!
Btw. Metinvest now has stage win in every GT this year, not bad in our first PT year.

You have indeed done very well this season. You are probably going for a safe top 10 overall position aswell.

Yeah, it would have been massive to finish in top10, even 10th, something i could not imagine prior to the season. But first we need to do everything for winning the Tour. I expected strong Pluchkin this year, but for example Giro, Herbiers and MSR were great surprises for us this year.

Spilak will be ready to challenge Pluchkin for the Tour crown next season

Brilliant sprints there with Bewley vs Swift and some other riders trying to jump in from time to time like Van Stayen and also Zabel with huge results here.
Really a great first half for Vesuvio. Only a few stages until Kirsch takes a mountain stage then. |
