Great signing for Quick Step. They have a shitload of talents now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Anyway La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Battaglin is on his way to LottoNL - Jumbo.
live-radsport.ch mentions that Craddock is also on his way to LottoNL - Jumbo.
Let's wait for confirmation, though.
This was mentioned in today's broadcast of the Vuelta by Sporza.
Apparently, Bianchi requests an American and Italian cyclist at the team. |

Jungles is one of my favourite young riders, praying ettixx helps him improve and he doesn't just become a domestique.

Thats huge! All 4 great signings imo. Amador made a Velits, he isnt really a GT-rider, rather a great domestique when in form in all sorts of terrain. Showed he can ride on his own as well.
Malori has involved into one of the worlds best ITT's and will for sure get a few more TdF's under his belt at Movi.
Jose Herrada is solid, nothing spectacular, but you need those on every team. Jesus is the more talented and is good for smaller races when Quintana and Valv isnt around. I also hope he eventually will evolve into an good Ardennes-rider, the first step is showing up in GP Ouest, Canada etc as a dependable protected rider |

And to go with this, According to basque television, ETB, three more riders have signed extensions with Movistar, Erviti for one year, and the Izagirre brothers for two. If this true then that is big news that Movistar can hold onto both the Izagiree brothers

Rumoured that current Vuelta mountain Jersey leader Omar Fraile is moving from Caja Rural to MTN, not big news but if he wins the KOM comp it's an interesting signing

After Moncoutie won that competition by just showing up, and has been followed by winners like Simon Clarke, Nicolas Edet and LL Sanchez, my respect for that competition has decreased significantly. Not saying the riders are bad, but they haven't really been world beaters in other races

Yeah but you can say that about half the riders mentioned in the transfer thread, at least a Vuelta KOM comp winner has some prestige... Actually outside of the Tour after the changes they made after Charteau won the KOM most GT KOM winners aren't "world beaters" but still worthy of news in the transfers thread

Yup. It wasn't meant as a critique of the transfer rumour, all transfer rumours should be in here. More of a critique of the winners of the Vuelta KOM . I would still say there are more typical climbers who have won both Giro and TdF KOM the last years, but that might be pure coincidence :/

With TDF at least based on how they score the climbs now it seems that the Yellow Jersey winner is also the KOM winner and so the guy claiming he won it isnt even actually the leader in points. |

Nope thats wrong, they changed it after Charteau won it in 2010 and the only Yellow winner to claim it since the change was Froome this year. The winners from 11-14 were Sanchez, Voeckler, Quintana and Majka with I'd say only Quinatna in 13 not going for the KOm

2015 KOM Winner - Froome
2014 KOM Winer - Majka
2013 KOM Winner - Quintana
2012 KOM Winner - Voeckler
2011 KOM Winner - Sanchez
2010 KOM Winner - Charteau
Its literally happened once.

Cavendish to leave Etixx.
Already suspected, but then Wiggins goes and casually mentions it in an interview https://www.skysports.com/cycling/news...-cavendish

Wasn't that a thing already. He wanted to stay, but Etixx didn't want to resign him sadly.

Wasn't it more that he expects a big paycheck and they aren't willing to give him that anymore based on his results? That's what it comes across as to me
