Neither here but I figured out Shonak had posted a GCN stage 1 preview which SN had already posted, so I included telling him that whilst I posted my video. But he had deleted his post while mine was posting

Lotto NL assumes they have a good chance due to the fact they have off road experience in the team.
they are lotto though, so they probably find a way to lose time in the overall

Me too; what's even more crazy is that it is used by cyclists, cycling magazines and journalists.. always makes me smile when cyclinghub is linked somewhere. On the other hand it really shows how cycling community is in desperate need of good broadcast & recording features. (But so are lots of other sports..)

I wouldn't smile so much. The people and practices that run the show there, aren't exactly ethical.

Well it's a pirate channel but on ehtical viewpoint, I classify it under the bad deeds for the greater good.

I was always pretty neutral towards that until Failured (or whatever his name is) said that they make profit on those videos. I've pretty much hated cyclinghub ever since.
so I was kinda laughing in my fist (â„¢ by Louis van Gaal ) when I saw that the channel was closed due to copyright strikes. buuut then they made a different account, that got closed again. I'm not sure howmany accounts they have now you would think they would get the message
and besides, the three grand tour all release stage highlights of the stages. which is better imo then 17 different videos of the same race with 17 different "<insert> KM to go" races.
Alright, the Giro only does Italian it's a start

Yeah, of course, dumb jandal. Agree with you there though
It isn't the pirating that makes their business shady and unethical.

Oh, well that changes it.
Making profit isn't half of it. I might as well explain myself, as they can't really do anything to me now.
Basically, at the beginning of this year, Failured employed me and a few other people from his community (the PCM Youtube community), He had this big plan, that if we all worked hard, Cyclinghub could become a big deal and we could all profit in how good it would be.
He had this whole enterprise set up. The regular Youtube channel was just the beginning. He made another channel, now defunct, called CHJesperAnker, and said that we were going to be commentating. He would do the play by play, and the other guys and I would take turns doing color commentary. We did a few of last year's races, and he said that as time went on we would make more and even live commentate races. He then made a website and tried to boost everything on it, including a forum He started live-streaming the races, and featured the Weekly Rant, where we were told we had gotten interviews with cyclists, headed up by thechudude.
Then my "job" came in. He came to us with a premise. He would post the videos from Cyclinghub on the website, and we would write summaries of the races as articles to pair it with, making it more official. In addition, we would make commission on the AdSense our page got. It all seemed well and dandy, until it fell apart.
He said that to really prove ourselves, we needed to do a lot of articles from last year to give ourselves a spot. between the 3 of us writing summaries (Chu, Handsball and I), we did the Vuelta and all the important falls classics. Then, we started the next season. After January, Failured informed us that due to way the ad compensation worked, we would be getting paid 2 months later for our articles. Come to think of it, he never even told us the statistics of how many hits our articles got, how much money that made, and what percentage commission we got. Which seemed fine at the time, and I didn't think anything of it. I had known Failured for almost 2 years and had known him to be a great guy who would genuinely do right by his people. We had even signed a contract. But that path ended.
Soon, the entire community and scheme he had planned in his dream and vision was apparently gone. I suppose that he realized the project wasn't making him any more money than he already did. Around this time March came and went, and we hadn't gotten paid. Failured said that we would on multiple occasion. We asked a few times and he was always like , "Yeah I forgot, I will later." The forum died, and he made no move to save it. One week we missed the Weekly Rant, and he came to us saying that the show wasn't professional enough for his channel, so it was ending. I accepted it and moved on. Then the next week some guy from Twitter comes in named David, and they start doing a predictions, analysis and news show - the exact same crap as the Weekly Rant was doing! They even interviewed all the cyclists that we were scheduled to interview! He replaced us, but didn't have the balls to be up front about it.
That just sent it spiraling farther down hill. Eventually when people started to question him, he kicked them out of the PCM YouTube Skype call. When one last guy questioned him (politely I might add), he left the very call he created. By Summer, he had removed me and others from his contacts on Skype, without any explanation but that "My Skype is for my professional business contacts only." And here I was thinking that the people he had made do so much work for his brand for nothing in return were considered professional contacts.
So now it's August. Failured never paid us for all the summaries we did. Ever. He always was saying how busy he was with Cyclinghub, and how he didn't have time for things like PCM and its community. Yet I still get the Steam notification that he's playing PCM 15 or NBA 2K almost every day. He even popped into my own Twitch livestream to say something when we started to say something about him (Not even anything offensive, and I know there was a mole). Ironically, he's still a mod on my Twitch channel.
So yeah, that's why I'm sour towards Cyclinghub. Although I find videos of races very useful (with school during race time in America), I don't use it to support them anymore. As Cyclinghub rakes in the dough, I have no respect for Failured or his operation. Maybe the longest post I've ever written on this site, but I wanted to get this off my chest, and this seemed like a semi relevant way to do it.

I completely agree with you on the whole Failured/CyclingHub situation.
I've never really been a fan of the whole CyclingHub project because I knew what they were doing was wrong and the way that they were kind of acting like 'fuck the system' always irritated the fuck out of me, and the ideas that they come up with to grab extra views is hysterical sometimes.
Well, I pray that one day Eurosport or Google will come and fuck them over and perma ban them from uploading or some shit.

Confused about the whole CyclingHub thing. You guys know they have their own website now with live streaming right?
The streaming is actually good as well which is better than can be found most places as an American. Even with all the illegal streaming sites I know.
Clearly the idiot is lazy in that he doesnt upload full stages considering he just streamed the whole stage but other than that considering I have had no interaction with the person running the site its pretty good. |

Have you just called an idiot a person who is bringing you the better live streaming then most? I agree that idiot word is spot on here, just not for him.

You clearly take everything way to literally. I am sure you are fun to be around.
Read the above comments about the site owner and the fact he doesnt upload full stages when he is streaming and capping them is kinda laughable.
Also If you want to call me an idiot do it like a man, not in some obtuse way to try and make yourself feel smart. |

The whole idea is that he uploads highlights, it started as a highlights channel which has turned into a website with livestreaming as well.
