Giro shitty sprint train.
Vuelta just shit.
SotD sold me a dud
Mohs must have Spanish grandmother or something, swift beaten is a hurt for Vesuvio slightly.
Or is he who moans loudest gets next race luck?

Guerao was rubbish last year already, what did you really expect?

Good to have Gjølberg out in front, making use of himself. Hope it doesn't mean that we're targeting breakaways on the flat stages and not on the mountain stages, as the sprinters teams suggest there won't be many flat chances for lucky stage hunters.
Congratulations to beagle! The green train is functioning again.
Thanks for the report, tsmoha. Looking forward for the next 20 |

Always good to see a GT stage without crashes, would be great if it stays like that!

Really good showing from Van Avermaet. Hope he can keep this up, although that might be a bit much to ask from him.
The GC will be really interesting. I have a top 3 goal, here, and I will be a bit disappointed if we don't achieve that.

Likewise what Alak just did.
Serious wind GC mess.
I was a little disappointed when I saw no mention of Guerao in early stages of report. Then did not seem he was dropped I thought okay better chance. But then he didn't even sprint! Or did but incredibly poorly. So badly in fact he is nit mentioned like once in stage!
Good god complete apathy.
But good for Swift the best sprinter delivers.

Borges is a beast. Well deserved to get the first KoM jersey. But on the other hand, I can't say that makes up for TVG and Maksimov getting caught out in the crosswinds.
Pretty much was a waste to bring TVG here now.

Obviously good stuff from Guldhammer to not get caught behind, a pity to see especially Contador drop, but that's what crosswinds do.
Good stuff from Swift, congratulations, SN! The Brit really proving that he's by far and away the best sprinter here when the racing is more difficult than the straightforward sprint stage. |

Excellent, superb sprint from Swifty - proving he can do it without the full train!
Shame that Suaza lost so much, clearly the fact that we were pacesetting was not enough to have him at the front. He is only a secondary objective for the team though, so it's doesn't stop the stage being a great success.

Tzortzakis with another 5th is good. Especially looking at how poorly he positioned himself there.
Lecuisinier luckily didnt get timeloss today like many others did. Really a shit day in terms of the GC for my main competitors in the PT here. Vesuvio is killing it with Swift though. He is already scoring big points, and is likely to keep doing so. The sprinters Jersey could stay with him all the way which alone gives him almost 300 points. Add to that the amount of stageresults and he is likely to score well above 500 points from this race. What a rider!
Leigh Howard is also looking good here getting a podium.

Tzortzakis (108th) our only rider in the lead peloton, what was he doing there?GET BACK AND HELP CONTADOR.
Still nice to see us mixing it in the sprints on stage 1, Contador loses some time but he was never really going to figure in the top GC fight (despite some people's romantic hopes!), that might allow him to get up the road like Cunego a la Giro.
Good to see Movistar wearing a jersey thanks to our shining light from last season. |

I fully expect one of the GC riders to take the Points jersey. There's a couple of huge stages where the time limit could be tricky, and already the likes of Pluchkin are taking Top 10s on the flat stages.

Stage 1 was very disappointing, but I'm quite happy with Stage 2. Pinot and Elissonde not being dropped is good, and Vanderbiest sprinting well even better. |

Very tricky stage. And not only that Gesink did not lose time, the entire team was in the leading group.

Good to see Tenorio near the front of the peleton, keeping himself save from missing a split and losing time. Hopefully we can survive the other flat stages aswell.

Congrats to SN although that sucks to have Suaza losing time. Bummer for Contador too. I'm just glad we survived.
