Ponzi OP! What a week for him. And how dare you Bobridge! Come out of nowhere to take 7th away from TVG.

Jesus he actually did it. Amazing result for Ponzi.
And nice to actually be in the Top 20 this time!

WOW amazing from Ponzi to take that his accelaration in the 80's is the only real advantage that stands out but even that doesn't make sense with EBH at 79 a real mystery but a great week for him |

Woah, huge congratulations, rjc! What a week!
Another disappointing day from Boasson Hagen, but at least he got something from it this time compared to Flèche. I do struggle to figure why he's this bad in the hilly classics though, as it looks like his helpers are doing a very good job, but it looks like he just doesn't have it.
Must admit I played with the thought of challenging Festina for a podium place in the overall rankings after Guldhammer's great Giro, but those thoughts included a solid Ardennes week. Had never imagined us loosing this much ground to many teams in what should be our best terrain
But we can only look forward for the next one, a pity Boasson Hagen won't get the chance to prove he's better than this in the hilly classics before the very last race of the season
Thanks for the report, tsmoha! |

Sorry
He was as fast as Swift in this finish. His tactics of just wheelsucking the first bigger chasing group did pay off.
Feel sorry for ember though. EBH not as bad as the two races before, but missing a podium is a shame. Ponzi is just a beast. Feels like he wins every classic I play!

Truly great racing from Ponzi here. Remarkable.
Have to feel sorry for ember and Boasson Hagen, even though he did show up today, at least. Shocking how badly he has been in the hilly classics this season.

Well, i guess i can't complain about Ulissi finishing in the first big group. Unfortunate he had garbage positioning and his higher sprint stat completely went to waste. I feel sorry for the good riders who were even farther behind while lesser riders were hanging on in the first main group.
Ponzi still being as OP as ever, but at least his wage is justifying it more this year.
It seems PCM14 just choses 5-10 riders who will actually race, and just make the others do whatever. Except for a few riders, most riders are very inconsistent.

That's awesome! Congrats to rjc, what a huge result. Ponzi just got elevated to legend status in the Man Game.
I guess I'm content with Schumacher finishing in the top-10. Could definitely use more points than that, but I don't think there's much I can do about relegating anyway.

The only time Gilbert's been mentioned in the classics is when being dropped. Not even top 30... thanks anyway.

2pilak keeps the spirit high with an amazing ardennes. Too bad he wont win any races, but getting a bunch of 2nd places is very good also. Having another 3 guys in the pack is great aswell, as we keep getting some decent lowend points from those kind of performances.
rjc... Congrats! This is epic on the highest possible note. What a performance! Having a superior sprint just gets those phenomenal results. Atleast we can now Conclude that he was the best, and Spilak the next best! I can live with that, and the money spent on training has been rewarded. Much unlike the money spent on Guerao a couple of seasons back.
I will take a big jump towards the lead from this, as I believe I already outscored Vesuvio and Becherovka by ~150 points before this race. I guess another 150 is added here, to make us go to 2nd overall not far behind Becherovka. Clearly Good Energy will also take a huge jump.
I do feel bad for Vesuvio though. They had a team capable of doing much much better. Sagan did aproximately what could be expected of him, looking at his stats. He was just "lucky" to have already performed like that...
This is the best ardennes week I have ever had. Even better than when I had Samuel Sanchez, although it was more fun to win one and get a 4th and 5th

Agree with Kami - outside top 5 roll a dice. Skujins came up with happy face again going with the winning move - which was vital here as they went well clear of all others.
Ponzi completes historic treble you just felt as they were approaching the finish as if they really needed to drop him. But Ponzi just had the taste of it, he has been great rider to follow these past years and he lands a great monument. Short odds on Lambardy but we have long wait for that.
No database to hand but what is Hagen deficiency? Is it just daily form? Not the day for Sagan or Vesuvio either, so Festina Spilak gambit has paid off really. If he can actually land the Tour then they will be in dangerous position.
Toms Skujins has run through a very nice campaign indeed top 10 in all three actually nearly matching this misfiring Cancellara from cobbles. I note that I actually had a domestique up in 30th place higher than some leaders!

Really really awful from Vesuvio. Schleck just hasnt turned up this week, and so bizarre that it is Paterski who was my top finisher. Disappointing for Gastauer to be so bad, but given the random performances of some, at least he delivered 2 great races this week.
But, Ponzi!!!!! So great to see the Ardennes triple finally be achieved. Huge congrats to rjc.
Thanks to tsmoha for completing the reports. Lovely to have the big 3 hill races on consecutive days.

Ponzi just completed the triple in style, wow!
Nice way of writing himself into mangame list of legends aswell.
2pilak having a great week aswell and being consistent as hell, not bad! Feel for Aker though, having the clear favourite and get this sorts of result, not fun!
Great job with the reports here aswell, tshoma, reports are more likely to be made by you than not now it seems, which is only impressing

I doubt he can. He is not riding it If he was he Wouldnt have been able to score massively in the Tour of California and decently at the Tirreno. He has 3 more races - and well capable of doing a podium in all of them: Tour de Suisse, Tour of Colombia and GP Liechtenstein.
I need Lecuisinier to score well from both the Vuelta and the Tour if I am to win the ranking. I have no ambition of winning though. I am rather sure that Becherovka will still win. They have a great setup for almost all races, and I suspect that Bewley is still lacking quite a few races. He is likely to score another 1000-1500 points.

I dunno Bewley has one certain high finish at Italian history time travel race. The rest velits, sagan, frankie Howard... Path.... Vesuvio angry mountain now... Festina doing chicken way I forget about that one SotD, Pluichiin big chance really and perhaps chances for those lower down spectrum. madrazo?
Anyway we soon find who wins Vuelta lottery of GC contenders...

What a MG season for seemingly impossible feats; this is some Velo d'Or stuff from Ponzi... if it wasn't for Bewley. Gratz to the rjc!

That was insane. To win four races on the trot is just incredible. To do so in four different races is even more so, especially given the depth and quality of puncheurs out there. I had hoped one day to win one of the Ardennes with Ponzi, but maybe only on a single good day, and perhaps after more training. To do the triple? Incredible. Amazing. Epic. It's a whole 'nother level stuff.
To have all the congrats too? Well, that means more. So thanks for that, and thanks to Ponzi for pulling through!!
I'm just off now to do a banana dance.

Bew is bastard so not eligible for Velo d'or ... Ponzi certainly gets my vote that is until Alarcon stuns PouPou Pluichkin at Tour!

Wow, big congrats rjc! What an achievment!
And well, miracles are not happening on every day. Still 17th place is somehow a really decent result, this Ardennes campaign was absolutely amazing for my team and we are likely staying in the lead of PT team competition, and we have still quite a lot of races where we should do really well still before us.
Oh and Smowz, I know you will absolutely enjoy this information, but Bewley still has a majority of his race days available in this season.
