Lars Boom wins Stage 1 in Denmark from the breakaway ahead of Lars Bak. Team Sky and MTN - Qhubeka giving Boom and co a massive step up in the General Classification...

Are you guys outside of Denmark able to catch the race? Its actually a pretty decent race.
Barbero just won ahead of Moreno and Ruben Fernandez (?) or some other guy from Movistar on an uphill finish. |

Seems to be live on Eurosport in a lot of places, so I watched most of the first stage live and boy was it getting wet.
I was that confident in Carlos Barbero delivering today for Caja Rural at the Vuelta a Burgos I even decided to back him . Daniel Moreno also off to a good start, was tempted to bet he'll win the race overall in the absence of someone like Quintana.

Looking forward to how Fernandez, Dayer Q and Anacona will do on Neila. Always great to search for the next big thing in this race like Landa in 11 - I love Burgos, definitely one of the better non WT-races out there. Movistar favorites tomorrow, maybe along with Astana? Havent looked at the teams in depth.
Barbero has been hella good this year, but I just have a clue Movistar wont pick him up. J Herrada is just too similar and Barbero probably isnt the guy to win ardennes. Dno. |

Two in a row for Matteo Pelucchi up against Kittel and co, this time without a crash affecting the sprint.

It took 6 revolutions for Pelucchi to gain 3-4 metres on Nizzolo.

Live blogging again from the Tour of Utah.

Should be an interesting stage, with a difficult climb 30 kilometres from the finish which could split the race apart. |

José Gonçalves thought he'd won this stage too, but the jury disqualified him for irregular sprinting. Veloso is top, both in climbing and sprinting he's one of the best in this race.

Veloso was gifted that stage by the race jury. Hmmmm anyone else noticed how fast they are going in this race? The main guys put out 6.7 W/kg on the final climb on stage 4, it's like watching racing from the 90's/early 2000's

They could've gone faster. Efapel had Cardoso in front and W52 already has 1-2 so neither went full gas before the last 500 metres.

The break was caught in plain sight of the cameras a couple minutes ago, but both commentators are completely oblivious. Love it.
