Ah well, It looks like the GOAL is out of the question for us but hope we can hold on to the Mountains jersey on the last stage. And its a pity you don't get rewarded for the amount of times one of your riders is in a break |

Very nice and sharp performance by Monfort again. It will now be really hard to steal the jersey away from him.
It does make me sad to see so many team leaders just sit up with the peloton. Yes, some had team-mates up front, but guys like Costa, Dowsett and Roy for example didn't. Did their teams at least try to chase, tsmoha?

So close to the win there, but a good stage nevertheless with a 2-3 and Ben Nasser moving into 2nd overall. I'll take that after being pretty anonymous in the first few stages.
Just one more stage to survive then. An Impey win (or even him trying to get a result) would be good, but I won't mind if we cling onto a podium position. |

sutty, don't be disheartened. I would be thrilled with how your team has raced so far here, the GC win weren't on the cards.

Again being the pertinent word there. Does he ever have a bad race?
Roy is just messing with us here. He attacked on stage 3, which gave me great hope for this stage 5, then nada.
With most of Prio-Porto's big guns like Costa, somehow, not firing, a title challenge looks like a big stretch for them from here. |

Wow. Impressive result by Villella. Haven't expected 6th here.
Boom in the expected area around 15th, which I had hoped for both.
Finally a break as well. Unfortunately Clement attacked and didn't wait for the sprint.
Thanks for the reports! |

Yes Great way to end this race
I was not really expecting such a good race by the team, 2 stage wins, 3rd in KoM and 11st on the GC undoubtedly give a good amount of points...
I do not know what cyclists Gazelle are taking but I want two doses, Congrats DD.
Begin missing words to describe your work tsmoha, Thanks once again

Well, this race could not have gone any worse Not even in a single break away hurts, missing out on at least some pts
Guess I can say that I hope things improve from here...

Been a while since I played this
I'm just guessing: once the crucial moves went late into a stage, there's hardly a proper chase from those not willing or able to follow. I've seen bigger gaps for dropped groups though, so I assume a few riders/teams did keep up a certain pace at least.
Congrats on another victory!

I'd settle for two doses of what your cyclists are taking!
Hoped for more from Amanuel now I finally joined the break, and clearly Dowsett was just pathetic.
At least the other African teams produced some good GC results! I wasnt convinced sending both Ben Nasser and Impey would pay off for both of them, but at least it did for one of them - and a nice jump for Janse van Rensburg on the final stage to be the best placed South African.

Yeah Monfort is just solid with his results, rarely has let his teams down if I recall. Ben Nasser tends to do well in odd races then dies rubbish elsewhere, South Africa can be happy hunting ground.
Crud from Impey. Not really the season for him to do well here, hilly stuff tends to be more decisive from what I have seen or breakaway territory.
Prades nabs second good to see a guy I recommended to database have a good day.

Ying - An unexpected stage win from Mansilla. Brilliant!
Yang - No points from anywhere apart from the stage win. Roy made a screenshot but finishes outside top 40, same same there. Still only on 4 points from breakaways this season, some teams have got more podiums/wins from breaks than we have points from them!
Thank you for the reporting, tsmoha. |

Well a good effort from Ben Nasser to nearly win here again, he just seemed to run out of steam in the end. Monfort and Gazelle just too strong here, I'll take a 2nd place.
Impey though was terrible, not contesting any stage. Was initially going to send him to Philadelphia which suited him much better but I thought a stage win or good GC on home soil would be more worthwhile. That decision definitely backfired.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha, and congrats DD on yet another win. |

Really I can not complain of what has been the season so far, in fact I think I already have more wins this season than the sum of the two previous seasons...
But for those who like I played enough pcm14 is nothing new because the breaks have enough tendency to win.
I have been fortunate to have the right cyclists on right breaks

There was a race ongoing?
It was rare this season that I was disappointed with my team this season but this time I am. Eventhough i send a rather weak squad we still managed to dodge (large) succeeding breaks while Geschke continues his disappointing season so far.
Philly makes up for it but this is just a race to forget quickly.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Whoa, Ben Nasser made it very tense there! Luckily he was alone and ran out of steam.
Monfort 2015: 3 races, 3 wins. Incredible...
My riders are taking nothing, guys. It's just marginal gains.

Just catching up - been on the road so only able to read reports on crappy phone, so apologies to TSM for lack of comments since opening stages; nice reporting, and very happy to see an excellent photo of our TTT effort make it into the papers .
And at last a half-decent performance in a stage race, the first since January I think! Klemme made the key moves, but fell short on the earlier stage when other favourites pressed on. A good stage 5 performance secured a welcome podium result though. The TTT performance was crucial to this, and the team selected performed on the day - maybe not the strongest individual TT's, but well suited to the undulating (although 'flat' rated) parcours. Maybe a little disappointed not to have a presence in the BoTD, and think this hurt our chances in the team competition, as we were solid otherwise, but overall Nutresa can feel quietly satisfied on our return from this trip to South Africa.
More top results for Gazelle and Kenya keep their 2015 title challenge on track. Solid results from RBC also assits their recovery from a slow start to the season that is now rapidly gaining momentum. On the other hand some folks missed out big time with renowned leaders proving too passive and delivering little of merit for the wages they command; I'm sure their agents are already starting to shop certain names around in the market via a word in the ear of favoured journalists if nothing else. Next stop for Nutresa is Romandie.

Wow another immaculate performance by Gazelle. I can't feel anything other than jealousy for what you're achieving this year. PT guys are really lucky that you did not want to promote
For us it's another frustrating race. Lots of expectations which result in a vast and inexplicable amount of nothing. Next race please.
The ordinary word of appreciation for the extraordinary work of the reporter: Thank you, tsmoha

Oh well that was a solid debut for Hugenhaben.
Gutted to miss the podium by 5 seconds(TTT, grr... ), but oh, this was a strong field.
With our luck I guess 4th is not too bad either.
