PCM.Daily rFactor Racing League 2.0
Hello,
Paul and I have decided to attempt the PCM.Daily Racing league again. We will, once again, be using rfactor. We will be racing with cars from the 2012 VTCC series and racing on tracks selected by the drivers! Overall there will be 16 races in the season. If you want to join, just post in the thread that you want to and you will be given a car. You can join at any point during the season
Races will be held at 21 CET. A countdown for races will be posted when the race is next on the calendar
Rules:
You cannot race on a keyboard, anything else is fine
I will provide everything that is required to play

I just start here with my entrance...
Nationality:
What time I can race: after 12:00
Which rules you want to see:
- all official rules of the real life sport, which mod we will drive
- 1 obligationary training (with different chooseable dates)
- maybe weight penalties for the winner of a race (to make it more tense)
Any extra ideas:
- maybe a Safety-Car driver
- Allow some assists: TC, ABS, Auto-Shifting
- 50% damage
How often races are: Every second weekend

Nationality: Dutch
What time I can race: On a Saturday I should be able to play on any given time, but prefer to do so before 20:00/21:00
Which rules you want to see: Race length to about 45/60 mins, qualification 1 session of 10/15 mins. Also the obvious rules of no cutting/ramming/jump starting etc.
Any extra ideas: Slower cars = More competition = More fun
How often races are: Bi-Weekly
Need to optimize my pc first tho, it's quite slow atm

Quite interested in doing this again, would need to connect my PS3 controller this time since keyboards arent allowed? Anyway:
Nationality: Great Britain
What time I can race: I think Saturdays would be the day which would most likely suit everyone, anything after 20:00 GMT would suit.
Which rules you want to see: Race lengths last time were probably too long, half race distance would probably suit
Any extra ideas: Try and get more people playing
How often races are: Every 2 weeks suits me, not bothered

Thats why there is a voting up there. In the end, surely we could race F1, but also DTM, V8 Supercars or Renault Clio Cup could be on the cards. The majority will decide in the end, though.

Time for me to start crashing again, My goal is to not finish last in every race.
Nationality:
What time I can race: My times are so random but I can usually play between 21:00 and 11:00, roughly.
Which rules you want to see: Same ones as last time, maybe shorter races (less chance of crashing before the end) and/or shorter qualifying
Any extra ideas: 300% damage I like the previous ideas of slower cars and 50% damage.
How often races are: Whenever suits other people.

thanks for joining trekbmc!
It seems that races every two weeks is a popular choice so far so that is what we will be doing.
That also brings the total amount of drivers to 5. We are looking for an overall of ten drivers before we start racing |

Never did sim-racing before, but it seems like a cool thing to learn.
Nationality:
What time I can race on Saturday:
Between 14:00 and 23:00
Which rules you want to see:
I'd like some assists to be allowed. Automatic shifting is absolutely crucial for me. Anti lock and traction control would be nice too.
Any extra ideas:
I think the success of this league will depend on its ability to make it fun for people who are new to this kind of racing. If more people join there will be a much more balanced distribution of skill levels between the members. Trying to beat someone who is close to your level is a nice challenge. Trying to beat someone who is light-years ahead is frustrating.
To achieve this it'd be a good idea to make the first season as accessible as possible. So relatively slow cars that can take a few hits, casual rules and short races. Then if there are enough members on board by the time the season ends, a parallel league can be created for the drivers who want a faster and more challenging experience.
How often races are:
Every second week
p.s. yesterday I voted F1 2015 without thinking, but I'd like to change that to "other".
Which rFactor mod would be a good match with what I described above as "relatively slow cars that can take a few hits"?
