Indeed very fast, is that the record? If it is Froome has not even been that bad although looking really weak he as been doing ok numbers as Quintana had the record yesterday on Toussuire

The record is Pantani's-not reacheble in the near 10 years until great new technology and training is introduced.

Sastre did it in 39mins dead in 2006. That appears to be the fastest time by someone without any connection to doping. Pantani has the record at 36:40

Pantani has the 3 best times. You wouldn't be able to beat them on a motorbike. Will never happen.

Yep Pantani's best time is 36:40 which is about 6.5 W/kg

valiant effort by Quintana but in the end it was a deserved victory for Fromme. Great win by Pinot as well. I would give the tour a rating of 7/10

I don't know what was so deserved after Nairo lost the Tour in the first week.

Oh really i must of missed Quintana's mechanical? You do know Froome was in first group whose fault he missed it? Quintana, Froome was there. I seen no mechanical. And just stop, Froome would have went crazy on PdB with just 1 min adv. You know it and i know it. So far in both his TDF wins he is better untill final week.

Quintana lost because of a rookie mistake and lack of experience. He was the strongest rider in the mountains. Also no way to tell how he would have gone on Plateau de Beille. After all, he hates rain and there was a downpour there.

We seen how he went he followed with absolute ease, he was fine 2 days before and he as won Romandie in shoocking weather, yet another myth for Froome. And i will go with what ive seen, 2 TDF wins he is best rider in first 2 weeks in both his wins and this year only attacked once really, he also looked fairly decent at the finish today he could have been bluffing even(not that i think he was) Froome has had so much scrutiny yet Quintana had stupid climbing power yesterday the record i think.

2007 Tour de France. But then he gained 2 places thanks to Klöden and Ramussen abandoning while keeping his place against others.

there was a 2007 Tour de France? I thought they scrapped the race after the final mountain stage?

Spoiler
I do not want to remember that anymore *proceeds to look at his closest, seeing his yellow jersey with rabobank on it and cries a little*

If he had climbed faster than Pantani I think every cycling forum on the Internet would of exploded

Yes but still modern bikes are lighter and faster in general so no matter the doping, Pantani was perhaps the greatest climber on earth. Destroyed Lance's times, and was 3mins faster than today's guys.

Also Sky really strong. Everyone inside 1'30 from Quintana on top Croix de Fer and Poels and Porte leading Froome over the Alpe. Any putsch would have been unsuccesfull. Today, yesterday, last week...

Haha! It doesn't show alot of faith in Mollema's climbing abilities for the rest of the race if they are worried about Frank

Anybody wanna say that to Franks face? Sure, Mollema beat Frank, but only by 25 seconds Wink

Okay man. If you think so. Following with ease and attacking in headwinds are two different things and the effort you need to put is for the latter enormous and for the first is almost none.

Wasn't Quintana W/kg worked out at 6.25 in 2013 up the Alpe? Would of thought Pantani would of been way higher than 6.5

I don't think it will ever be broken with legal means. That's impossible imo technology and training doesn't have that much of an influence..

I have Quintana down as bang on 6 W/kg in 2013 from ammattipyöräily I think
