It really depends of the riders situation, look at Landa he decided not to stay with Astana and refused the big paycheck of Movistar to go to team sky which means he wants results and I guess team sky promised him a big role in a team and he's going to be the guy to replace Richie Porte. It's pretty obvious he's going to be team sky leader for the giro now
He is making more money at sky...
nope he will make 1.2m euros a year with sky while with movistar he would've earned 1.5m euros
You have no sources on that movistar number, shit they said he could name his own price at Katusha.... He is making more money at sky compared to anywhere else guaranteed. |

"According to the report, Landa had offers from Movistar in the amount of €1.5 million per year and from Katusha, where it was suggested he put forward his own asking price. However, Landa seems to have picked the two-year, €1.2 million deal proposed by Team Sky."

Ah ok, lets not use logic or anything.

CAUTION! WE'VE GOT A BADASS OVER HERE!
Spoiler Just for your info. 2.4m is not as much as 3m. Better said. 1.5m per year is more than 1.2m per year.

Very defensive. I would say a guaranteed 2.4m is more than 1.5m but I guess I dont know how contracts work. |

Using your words here: "There is no source" that Movistar only offered a one year deal...

You dont think they would have said it if they did?
They said it for the SKY deal. |

He obviously doesn't think next season will be as good for him, as securing a contract of 1m the year after would make signing for. Movistar worthwhile, maybe even less because of much more likely chance at leadership and a Spanish team.

that would be great move..at least for Sky. Golas is work horse who can drag a peloton that part of the day when eurosport live has not started yet. |

You shouldn't believe anything that comes out of Lefevre's mouth. The guy lies when he breaths.
The transfer season wouldn't exist without lefevre claiming he's going to sign all the big riders.

Off topic:
About TT. It seems to be all about suffering. Of corse powerful guy can ride faster..but guys who don't need to be ready to suffer.
This was a bit also Schleck problem..I remember 2008 (?) tour. Frank was in yellow ..Riis told him at Pyrenees mountain stage ..that this is moment to go. If you want to win Tour..It will hurts like hell..but you need to go.
Fränk did not moved. |

From the rumours Kwiatek wants Golas to go to Sky with him as a package deal, who knows how true that is but he's a solid rider so wouldn't be a bad signing

What? I really would like them to sign big guys, and Omega-Pharma has the money to sign some class, especially with Kwiatek leaving.
