Yeah for Abal! Very surprised to see De la Cruz finish in the top 10.

2nd is good of course. But seeing that prologue stat was also important, Keizer once more must have had a minus form, which is unlucky.
Hopefully as 2nd the motivation to attack in the mountains is given. |

Hey, after all the crazy results we will more than happily take that podium by Contador. Now a question of protection until the first summit. |

Good job by Movistar! Pretty good ride by Garby too, but he definitely won't have leadership now. Which is a bit worrying for Movistar, seeing as Garby is the best climber in Mountain and Resistance. But nevertheless, Great race for them, and I hope Garby is a good domestique.

Not a single mention, yet we had 3 riders in the top 25, 2 in the top 15. Good start

That didn't go too well for us, but then we can't have expected any better considering the squad we sent.
Hopefully the team will be active in the breaks over the coming stages.

Talansky with his first performance in the ball park of what we expect. The rest performed more or less reflecting their stats, so not any real surprises on the Nutresa team bus. Lets see what the situation looks like on the morning of the first mountain stage before starting to build any hopes up though!

We're not here for the sprints, but I had hoped to see Vaitkus at least trying...
Gruzdev, stop being in the back all the time, please...

Valls finishing comfortably but higher up would be a bit better.
Would really like to see my guys in the breakaway, especially one of my decent climbers on a stage with hills and mountains on it.

With the reluctance of my riders to get into the break lately on a flat stage there is nothing to see for us. |

Contador out of trouble and Mansilla with his first decent show + 2 in the top 10. Good stage for us. |

Yes!
Great sprint by Raúl, amazing! This is what I bought him for! Also, tsmoha, I like Granjel Cruz: is he the combination of Raúl and Freddy? |

Not entirely sure how Awang went from on Keukleire's wheel to finishing 22nd, he must have forgotten to sprint or something.
That said I forgot he was here when looking at the sprint stage profiles, only remembering he was here for the TTT so that might be why.
Congrats to Mobil for the stage win.

Rough day for us as we were not in the breakaway, and although our sprinter actually chose to sprint, it wasn't very good. We really need to be in breakaways to have any success here.
