Ten Dam has Bronchitis, apparently.
Kind of disappointing not to see any TLJ threat in the break tbh. I can imagine Kelderman and Kruijswijk(or at least 1 of the 2) have to stick with Gesink at the moment. But still meh

The Lotto struggle...
Guido: Freakin told you Sagan will hit the break again. |

Kelderman would have a good chance in the break, but looks like the break is decided already, and he's not in.

Guido: Freakin told you Sagan will hit the break again.
Yeah, he is focking awesome, he is either in break or up there in the finale in almost every stage, seemingly limiltless engine.

He's quite amazing.
Strongest rider of the 2nd part of the cycling season so far, I reckon. Kristoff & Degenkolb being the strongest of part 1 of the season. |

Who's in the breakaway, would've loved Sanchez to be there, but he is TJVG's lap dog atm

Suddenly, a wild Rui Costa appears and wins the stage!

Clearly Rui Costa has been taking lessons from Danny Pate. Retired on Stage 11 because he had already won Stage 16.
23-man Breakaway:

lol Fuck Garmin. They get Hesjedal in the break on the flat stage but can't get one guy in on the breakaway stage.

Lol no use fighting over which team is better when they both just crash and then stay in the pack at the time they could win something. Maybe Kelderman and Talansky should get a drink together tonight.

So will it be Contador who tries something on the Col du Manse? I remember him, Evans and Sanchez breaking the Schlecks in 2011 which was a great days racing. Mind you everytime they use that climb something seems to happen

I dont get why Movistar has told Erviti of all people to try and join the break. At least get a guy in it who has a slight chance of winning. I guess team GC which is pretty much secured?
Boasson Hagen v Hushovd like duel like in 2011, thanks! Who has the audacity to attack Froome, if any, will be the answer. I guess they should try something on the downhill, but meh.. |
