Yes, actually had to cry after all his efforts (seemingly) were for nothing
But the Tour decided to let him start tomorrow nevertheless
Seems to be because of the cows blocking the road actually.

Cows are responsible for a lot of evils in this world - the destruction of grass, making eerie cow bell sounds in the mountains, doing their best to take out cyclists that dare to ride through THEIR back yard at wreckless speeds, MAKING GROWN CYCLISTS CRY...it's nice to see the balance being redressed here. |

I think it's fair enough that they let riders continue despite having been over the time limit, if they have been held up by something "non-sport related". Cows, demonstrators, demonstrating cows, etc.
Still, I think the timit limit should be enforced a bit more than it has been in many cases. The rules are there for a reason, and they should be treated like laws. The rules are useless if riders can just say "if we are a big enough group, then we will be allowed to continue".
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Cav posted on facebook pic of Kwiatek's bike computer with top speed of nearly 102 km/h reached on Tourmalet downhills!
Reshaw wins with 107 in the photo of his Garmin 500. Unless anyone can find another rise? The lower third of the Tourmalet in particular is pretty straight and -7 to -8% so it's pretty much head down and let it fly. |

I get saying rules are rules but in the end if a bunch of good riders cant make the time limit on a certain day, is the time limit really correct. So many things can happen during a stage that a set in stone rule doesnt really work.
I feel more like its one of those we have this rule so you idiots dont take 3 hours finishing behind the leaders so we make you at least try to finish in a timely manner so everyone can get on their way. We arnt going to DQ you but just show us you are trying. |
