Saison Training
It´s time to prepare ourselves for the season, so we all came together for our first camp. We had some great time, riding through the streets in Luxembourg.
On the hilly and windy roads, we were not really thinking about the pace. Our focus was more on meeting up, learning to understand our team members. It seems that there is a good chemistry between our riders, so we look forward to create a bright future with our cycling team.
Impressions
the first nc
flat team training
bumpy team training
hilly team training
windy team training
increasing the pace
Credits to the_hoyle for being amazing. And for his graphical help, including explaining me how to bring all together and make it work.

Season Goals
Now that our team is complete, and all the riders know each other, we can start to plan the season. As a first step we should think about the World Tour Calender. As an ambicious Pro-Conti Team we should have chances to get a couple of wildcards for bigger races, especially in western european races we should have chances. So it´s now up to you to make wildcard proposals out of these...
All your proposals will be requested for; it would be great to have a decent reason why the race organisators should pick us.

My suggestions are: Tirreno, Romandie, Suisse, Vattenfall, 2 Flanders/Ardennes races, Polonge, Eneco, maybe a GT and a French short tour.

Decent suggestions! :)
We have to be aware of the fact that we won´t get every wildcard we apply for... |

All Benelux races should be applied for, so E3, G-W, RvV, Gold Race, F-W, LBL and Eneco. I think getting a wildcard for the Vuelta would also be quite realistic. Not many rivalry I think, and we don't have the worst climbers. Also, our talents should have developed by then, so they could be ready for it. Switzerland would also be a nice race, but I'm unsure about the chances of getting a wildcard there.

Yeah, I agree with Selwink's suggestions, forgot that we won't get them all though, should have suggested a couple more, although I think Selwink's got that covered.

I'd say Benelex as a major WildCard applications. Vuelta would be nice as well. Apart from that, I'd say any races where we have a rider of that nationality (Tour de Suisse f.e.)

So I see we should go for the spring classics as the major goal...in addition to that a Grand Tour, most likely the Vuelta due to chances of getting a wildcard...some minor WT classics and stage races in our sponsor regions on top...
Should we leave out the whole Italian calendar? Seems like a legit option... |

Wildcard applies
We will apply for wildcards in the yellow framed races:
Season Goals
We will for sure bring the best possible team to the WT-races inviting us. But we can´t only count on WT races. Points of CT races are needed to go for a Top 5 Pro-Conti-Ranking position. Also we have sponsors, which want to see something from us in the races in their countries.
Together it´s our task to select the races we want to set as goals for us. WT races are goals automatically.
Your Task!

This could be Tour of Austria, Tour of Estonia, GP Lugano, Czech Cycling Tour, Tour de Slovenie, Arctic Tour of Norway, Tour de Fjords, Tour of Norway, Post Danmark Rundt and many more, also depending on how wildcard applies work.

It seems like you are not that interested in season planning, so I can do that task on my own. But if you want to make a personal plan for your favourite rider of the team, feel free to do that :)
Do you agree with the conceptional racing schedule? If there anything is missing or should be snapped, just tell ;)

I'm sorry, I had totally missed this story for the last few days. Would definitely have made some suggestions.
I'll do so now:
Post Danmark Rundt seems perfect for Hansen, but also Westra.
Some season opener before Omloop would be nice too, think of Algarve, Oman, Marseillaise or so.
Can't think of more atm though

Great to see you here
These are the races where we want to play a role this saison. Although most of our goals are in colder regions we will bring our team something sunny to built up form It´s just not sure if we stay in Europe or have a long trip to San Luis/Gabon/arabian races at first.
Especially Lasse Hansen will like Denmark

Sorry not really commented on the story recently. Been busy with my own project
The calendar looks good, although something before Omloop is needs. A february that suits the team would be best

Training Camp 2
So far it seems like we stay in Europe for the preseason. We will go for another training camp in the Basque country, thinking about the weather as well as the abilities to ride on almost every terrain. We can train windy situations along the coast, the hills around San Sebastian, ride through old streets for bike handling skills (looking at the classics) and climb the Pyrenees.
Additional Racing
Our season start will be caused by the invitations we get, a trip out of Europe should help building up some form as well as not bring financial disadvantages. The less we pay for long trips the more we can spend on our scouting system. Similar situation with the money we get for bringing ourselves to some race (thinking of arabian races this time f.e.).
Coming soon
Very soon we will start our trip to the basque country, Bilbao is our target. There we will start our training schedule for the second camp.
Furthermore we were in talks with the JM-Project, they asked us to take part in a special charity tournament. More informations to come, when we will call-up from Bilbao... |

Opposed to other opinions, I don't think we should start before Omloop. If we can, it's a plus, but we should limit ourselves to Europe, and pick a race without having to haul TT equipment with us, so maybe Tour Haut Var or something?

The tour of Algarve could be an interesting idea, in Portugal, I guess we would need TT equipment, but still...
