Not a clue, just how PCS labels things which is where i copied the table from. Think of it like .HC or .UWT would be in the mens side

CDM stands for "Coppa del Mondo" in Italian, which in French, first UCI language, can be translated into "Coupe du monde", which in English stands for "World Cup".

French being UCI's "official" language, it stands for Coupe Du Monde

Thanks for the explanation Wink

Very good thread. Any chance some of those races will be broadcasted or does one have to rely on PCS, TMM and Cosmo Catalano?

The World Cup races are usually broadcast somewhere. Things like La Course, Friends Life Tour and other big races or those paired with high end HC or WT events are also broadcast. Google really is your friend Wink

I saw the highlights of the Geelong (Mitchellton Bay?) race earlier this year on TV and the track WCs last year, but other international women's events probably won't be covered over here. It's good to see a growing number of women's events and people following them.

Update on San Luis: Stephens wins the ITT, but it really was not a good TT field. Going up to Mirador del Potrero tomorrow should decide the GC. My guess would be one of the Brazilians to take the GC win but San Luis is such a crapshoot who knows. Final stage hopefully goes to Barnes again.

Can we use this as a women's news thread? Great idea to actually have one of these.

Not sure if this better belongs here or in the Funny thread. But as it is woman cycling related and this thread is new, I will add it here. Pfft

Apparently there are more "funny video" teams than Orica GreenEdge.

Pretty good Wink

Katie Hall surprised me there to win up to Mirador, was convinced it would be a Brazilian. But it is a Brazilian leading the GC now so i should get that guess right. UHC now with 3 stage wins in 5 stages and should get 1 more

First ever Womens Starde Bianche route confirmed. 103km in a similar style to the mens race. Departs and finishes in the same place as the mens race and will run on the same day roughly 90mins ahead of the mens event. No idea on a startlist yet but expect the big names like Armistead, Ratto, Ferrand-Prevot etc.

Hell yeah, double the amount of Strade Bianche, double the fun! That's some mighty fine news. Hopefully it'll be covered at least on italian TV too.

Alison Tetrick, Optum, put in a great crit ride to win the final stage of the Tour Femenino de San Luis. Hannah Barnes won the main sprint for 3rd place. Jamildes Fernandes took some bonus seconds to secure her GC win. Tetrick elevated herself to 5th place whilst Hall in 4th and Stephens in 2nd made it a great race for Americans and American teams. Overall your standard San Luis fare being won by an in form south american

Next up on the womens calendar is the Womens Tour Down Under, very excited for that one!

Nice to see Hannah Barnes up there battling Smile

Valentina Scandolara (Orica-AIS) attacked well and won the first race of the Womens TDU. Unfortunately PCS coverage of Womens Cycling is on par with most media so f*ck all to post from there, luckily the TDU site is ok. Hoskins and Gunnewijk finished 3rd and 4th to get 3 Orica ladies in the top5.
