Is there a way to change the rider you're controlling in Be a Pro?

What decides which pro teams offer you a be a pro contract. Am I able to edit this? I was trying to figure out how to have team Wiggins offer me a contract as an american.

Below the list of teams that offer you a contract, press the yellow button (I think yellow). It gives you all teams and you can offer a contract yourself, so choose any team

Sorry I meant when starting a pro career. It doesn't seem to be based on the nationality of the teams because if it is changed they still offer contracts.

Click 'go back' and then advance again, there will be 3 other teams. But not all teams will offer you. Depending on your age (avg), PCT or mainly CT teams.

You could increase your change of having a British team choose you by taking a British nationality and then edit the save when you've started the career and change to American citizenship.
But I don't know if that has any consequences concerning NC, WC...

I got the flu in february, sprained my wrist in march, and broke my hand in june.
I think the game hates me.

You just need to be more careful.
Injuries are a bit too frequent on my end, too, though. Others experiencing this, too?
Another problem here is sprinting. In 3D racing, sprinter (be a pro) randomly follows others or stops following. Very annoying when you can't rely on your team and can't evne rely on 'follow' button.

Another one like this is when you're the GC rider, the stage has a sprint finish and your team's best sprinter decides he's going to protect you and do the water runs.
The most annoying thing about injuries is the lack of a message to say something has happened. You only find out when you press 'continue' and the stage gets simulated.

AI is very annoying in cobble races when I'm having the highest COB stat in the race.
In E3 Harelbeke the group of 4 riders, including me, was formed at the front of the race with some distance to go. Those 3 other riders attacked me and I decided not to follow, because my energy bars were rather close to being empty. They quickly gained 1:30 advantage on me but stopped co-operating and I got them back very quickly with moderate effort. As soon as I caught them, they attack again, gain 1:30 advantage again, stop co-operating again and get caught by me with moderate effort again. Really annoing and unrealistic way for the race to evolve.
And it's also annoying climbers from my team like Zoidl and Boswell are sent to cobbled races while riders who could be more useful helpers for me, like Puccio and Van Baarle, are not.

Hi Guys,
A quick question:
How do I view the course of the coming World Champs in advance? I'm playing as a heavy sprinter, so if the course is Valkenburg or Firenze, I will not prioritize - but if we are talking Doha/Copenhagen, then I might build my entire season around it.
I know I can see it in the Training screen when I get to the month of September, but at that time it is hard to correct the entire season planning...
if anyone is still wondering

I play now as a northern classics specialist and it's really annoying. I'm at least 3 points better in cobbles than any other rider in the game (I have 84 and 2nd best has 81), I also have 77 hills, so equally good or better than any other cobbled rider and I'm never able to ride away from other riders on cobbled sections or cobbled climbs. There are always at lest 3 guys who can stay on my wheel and beat me in the end. I have a good overall form, good daily form, good freshness and I play on medium only! I also have decent endurance, but it doesn't matter since I'm also unable to drop them in shorter races. I've never finished first or 2nd in PR, RVV, GW, E3, it's really frustriting, since I play on medium and I'm not a novice and had much better results in my other careers.
Maybe my resistance is too low (70)?

In my current career, my pro always is riding the World Championships however I can't play it. Instead, it just gets simulated. (This way he even became World Champion..). Is there a work out around it, how can I avoid it or is just that the career is bugged (I could play the first WC, though afterwards I switched the date to 29.9?).

Had the very same problem with my last career. For me it was the last sign to change to career mode again. Be a Pro is fantastic idea but very bugged still, will need a few years to work properly I'm afraid

Started be a Pro career again, this time with an attacker. In first months (so still a bad rider) I try to get into the first breakaways. It is always 3 riders or less that are allowed to take time. If more than 3 riders, or the peloton chase them or (even worse) no-one cooperates until I completely drain myself upon which the peloton takes the breakaway. This is too strictly, they should allow breakaways of 7 - 10 or even more as in real life, no?

I agree with you, imo the number of riders in the morning break is not dynamic enough, there should be a bit more variation thrown in.

I recently started playing the be a pro mode of the game. I've come across something that struck me as peculiar. I leveled up (for the, I think, third time) and it said that I'd gained two extra points in both my mountains and hills stats, yet they both remained at the same value as on the previous level. Is this a an error? Or am I missing something?
