The top 7 acts will go direct to the final, where the 8th to 11th place acts will go to the all new second chance round. We will first announce the first 4 direct finalists. It's always bad if i see a country go through and i can't remember what that song was
I knew Kristen and Straight No Chaser were up against it and unlikely to go through. Guess i was just a bit early with a Chistmas song for it be fully appreciated by you lot.

Elton Amador Rodriguez is a Guatemalan performer with Danish, Portuguese and Italian influences. The internet allowed him to make the jump from world-renown folk singer to world-renown youtuber signer and allow the world to hear his talent. After beautiful pieces dedicated to Jaun Antonio Flecha and Enrico Gasparotto, Elton took the natural next move to write a beautiful piece about Damiano Cunego, combining French sound files and Guatemalan folk influences into a perfect rhythm. Now with just shy of 1 billion views on youtube.
In light of this, you can make the educated decision to dedicate your 12 points to one of the most talented performers of this century, Elton Amador Rodriguez.

Well, South Africa didn't qualify - guess my DSC entries are going to be on the Olympic principle (participation matters, not winning). At least I contributed to the bigger African presence in DSC

I guess Spain went just incredible unlucky with the part shown in the shortcut, cause the very interesting voice of the singer and what the song about isn't really shown there.
Slovakia is just a song I needed to hear 2 times. The voice of the singer is beautiful and so is the vocals if listen some time to.
South Africa suffered in the outside things. You've got points for me, but the optics and the name didn't really sound like a 2016 Song Contest for me sadly. Would've liked to give more.
