You might think it is funny to do this, or are raging at Mre.
Other people actually care though, and you are spoiling it for them, if you don't care how Travis develops, then don't have an imput.
In my opinion, if you are just going to sabotage, Mre may as well ban you from his story.

I agree. Dude contribute or stop wrecking it for everyone else.

Can I be the one to break the news to him?

Rolling Eyes

It's not funny it's essential to make him well rounded
You do realize that speed bonuses in certain stat ranges for a stat like mountain vs a stat like downhill is equivalent(there was an earlier study on this in PCM13: General)...plus you guys always want to make a stage racer out of him...if you really did care about his development to follow his true path then the TT stat would be substantially higher than the rest anyways.

Look at all those circuits. Wouldn't you think downhill is just as important as uphill?

Yes I know and I love doing it Pfft

Mresuperstar
@All: 1. I really don't care how Travis develops so argue all you want but whoever posts at the right time gets to update his stats. It's that simple, no need to point fingers and complain about it.

2. No update tonight because instead I got a huge spark of interest/idea and completed the ending of the story (last episode to be exact).
All I can say is I can't wait for you to see it. Wink

@numbers: are you seriously arguing that because they are racing in circuits the DH stat is as important as HIL/MO? Pfft

After the win yesterday, I'm feeling over the moon.
Now comes the hard part. Trying to hang onto the yellow jersey.

Flat as can be. Although I have to stay alert. Anything can happen.

Nothing happens. A routine bunch sprint. 1 stage down, 2 to go.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-Profile.jpg

If anybody is going to make a move, today is the day.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-1.jpg

Fox pushes the tempo all day for me.
As we reach the last circuit only 60 men remain in the peloton.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-2.jpg

Then everyone starts attacking on the final climb.
Before I can switch my gears they are riding away from me.
Not good, not good.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-3.jpg

On the downhill I can spot the lead group of three:
Philip Deignan, Davide Malacarne, and Natnael Berhane.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-4.jpg

And they couldn't be caught. Finishing in that order above.
The clock is now against me. Deignan needs 1'07" to take yellow.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S3-5.jpg

I come in with my own group of three: Durasek, Newton, Mannion.
More importantly is the time... +1'0......................0"! 1 minute!
I keep the yellow jersey by 6 seconds, so close!

The final stage. Easy enough, right? What could possibly go wrong?

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-1.jpg

Rain, rain, and more rain. I don't have a good feeling about this...

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-2.jpg

There it is! The big crash! You could see it coming from a mile away.
Confirmed by the race radio - 2nd place overall Philip Deignan is down.
Look closely, can you see the yellow jersey tangled up in that mess?

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-3.jpg

You can't because I got out of there and charged to the front of the race.
8kms to go, I can't risk it sitting in the middle of the peloton.
I have John Vasquez by my side protecting me.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-4.jpg

There are the two original breakaway riders. I have left Vasquez behind.
The peloton too as they are struggling to reorganize after the crash.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-5.jpg

The banner! But out of nowhere comes Paul Martens from the peloton.
And charging even faster behind him is his teammate Matthias Krizek.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-6.jpg

Krizek nips the breakaway man Cesare Benedetti on the line. Martens 3rd.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/S4-7.jpg

4th? That's me! Travis Newton. 1st overall? That's me too! What a tour.
Couldn't have asked for a better build up for the USA National Championships.

Just +2 EXP because it's only a 2.2 ranked race.

However, I'll make up for that extra point with a complete +5 form!

The next race update will be the USA ITT National Championships:

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/The%20Comeback%20S15E7/NextRace.jpg

Spoiler

My training is now in your hands for the rest of my career.
After each race I can receive both EXP and Form Points.
EXP is a permanent stat gains while Form is temporary (the next race update).
A maximum of 3 EXP and 5 Form can be rewarded after each stage.

After any stage I receive EXP or Form points
you guys get to decided where I put those stat gains to use.

All you have to do is comment on which category you want
1 of the stat gains to go (Ex. Mountain, Sprint, Flat, etc.)
The EXP points are used up first followed by the Form.

Each member can only say one category for themselves.
And it will go until all the points are used up.

If you have any questions about my training, leave a question below.
It looks confusing at first but it's rather simple,
and this will be the only method for me to progress talent wise.

Great last stage from Travis at the Dairyland Smile and what a Brilliant Overall victory Grin

And Good Luck at the American TT Championships so for me it has to be +1 TT Smile

Uff, that was thrilling. Seems like Travis' luck is changing a bit after all. Old Travis would definitely lose 7 more seconds in the third stage and would kiss the asphalt on the last stage Pfft Second win of the season, things are going great so far! +1 TT, I hope no one will give DH or FL as exp, then we'll know for sure they're trolling Pfft

All: Thanks for the kind words. Very happy how this tour turned out. Hopefully Travis' new found "luck" will carry over to the Nationals. Smile
