For Halloween i'm going to a mates house, about 10 of us, and we are going to just train horror movies until we pass-out! Shaun of the Dead, It, The Shining, Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil to start with and we've got a few more lined up if that isn't enough mwahaha
Pro lineup you got there! Some great classics!
Edit: And on the topic of Halloween, I just don't get it. It was fun when I was little, but I remember going out to "trick or treat" when I had turned 11, going to 3 houses, and being like, "I'm a little too old for this," and just going home. Haven't thought about the day since.
Didn't help that we got a blizzard and a hurricane the 2 years after that, causing there to be a lot of downed trees and power lines and the government to officially outlaw outdoor Halloween activities.

Its not like that at all... They have changed now to be organized events where all children go to one location, such as a school or church, and tons of community members show up with their cars decked out or little areas decked out in decoration. It is safe and supervised.
Other ways they go about this is only go in groups of 5+ and only go to a house if porch lights are on.
I am in college and I just went trick or treating
I have never in my life heard of this being at all a thing.
I've always seen that a couple of kids just go to every house near them, get candy, and if theirs no person to answer or candy to give out, then you'll wake up to find your house tp'd.
Edit: Lachi, I guess that answers your question. Either the kids are not douche's (or they are little), or your house gets tp'd hardcore.
On the other hand, not a lot of people do it anymore here anyway. We didn't get candy at my house but nobody came to the door anyway so it didn't matter.

Thinking of finally biting the bullet and buying a laptop in the near future and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I don't really want to spend more than £500, in fact the cheaper the better - but I know it's worth spending a bit more for quality. All I need is internet, office and a decent amount of storage although with Dropbox and Google Drive it's not a huge need. If possible I'd also like to be able to play games on it - Civ 4, PCM, nothing too intensive - but I'm not going to buy a more expensive laptop just for that. Hope my rambling makes some sense

I love it. Part of me wishes i got something with an i5 but i didn't have the available money to do so. It's just a well made and perfectly functional laptop, no complaints to be had.

Halloween is indeed fun, a couple of friends and I (living in same subdivision) taped troll-faces to the door with the words "NO CANDY", and filmed the people walking over in utter disappointment. That was epic.

Rant time.... about tickets...
So most of you have heard of a pre-sale when if you go an event they will let you buy tickets to the next before you leave as a treat for going.
They also always have a "pre-sale" where you need a password, which can be googled easily, to buy tickets early..
Finally, whatever tickets they have left go on sale to the general public a few days later.
Well today was the onsale date for WWE Royal Rumble in Philly on Jan 25th, and I was going to buy 3 tickets.. I woke up bright and early for the 10:00am start time, and as soon as the clock turned I clicked the link.
I was immediately placed in a waiting line as the servers were full, it said to NOT refresh the page or you will be replaced in line, so I waited. About 10 minutes later it finally loaded, and I clicked 3 tickets at my desired price range.
Little did I know, it had already been SOLD OUT... In 10 minutes.. This has never ever happened to me before. I called the number and they informed me they were sold out, and encouraged me to go to stubhub, so I did.
All tickets are 4 times the face value. So the $25 tickets I wanted are now $110 a piece.. I thought reselling tickets was illegal anyway.. Now I am going to have to wait it out a few weeks and hope the prices drop when the demand is low.
Either way, I will be at the event somehow, Peace out. Rant done

Admir is GREAT
Anyways, never experienced anything like that, Jseadog. Though sold out in 10 minutes is just crazy
Also, my test week starts tomorrow, now counting for the final school exams
Damn, doubt I've ever studied this hard. I'm dead already.

it took me a while to understand that sentence correctly. not until I rememberd that you have an higher education at least. the only variation I used and have heard of that sentence is "doubt I've ever studied" filthy peasants like me don't spend our time reading books and learning stuff but making the Hylian Shield and Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda for cosplaying

Cosplaying is just pretending every day is Halloween I don't need to give myself the excuse, if i want to dress as a whale tomorrow i will do. If i want to spend the day as Gordon Freeman i will, f*ck other people.
(no i don't have either a whale or Freeman outfit, but for one i can sit in the bath all day eating fish and the other i just don't have to talk whilst holding a crowbar)

A bit of a rookie mistake there I'm afraid.
If the link is available pre-sale, never wait until the actual start time before clicking the link - always try it early as quite often the waiting line will be building up before the start time. It's usually a good idea to open up the link in different browsers too, for a better chance of a shorter queue time.

Hey guys, cool thread!
https://forum.dark...-21/#msg28
but you read the URL and you realise that I'm just trying to get darkshift forums back up.
Still, it's worth taking the time to write something completely irrelevant.
