Race Tactics: Stop Matt from winning at all costs.
I have a horrible feeling the Ian will use that to let Matt win...

Aaah it's great to be back with another report! I really got a kick out of writing this one. Hope you enjoy it! Read the Aosta Valley report here!
I'll also include updated UCI ranking after each race. Next year's UCI licensed number will be decided on the final UCI ranking at the end of the season, so it'll be easier to see who are the best riders out there. New riders will be added to the bottom, of course

Nice to see next report. Thanks Ian
Slightly miffed that preview and race came so close together. I like to wait for preview to consider tactics, but I had no time to pm tactics - course looked like it suited cook too. Oh well we already have one one sided classification it is nice to see some competition.
Good race there though it has to be said some real weakness shown out there by cookie.

Yeah sorry about that (preview - report).
I can promise you that's only a one time thing, though. It was just because of the long break I really wanted to get this show back on the road with a blast. Will definitely give you enough time to pm tactics for the next races

I agree, a two hour window isn't really that impressive to send in race tactics. Quite disappointed, as this was one of my rider's target of the season..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well I've had other people send in tactics in the past days, so I didn't realize the preview was that important (after all, the races and their specifics are all public in this thread). But once again, sorry.

Yeah, great race & report. It's great to see it "back", cause CX: New Dawn has never really left of course.

20 seconds on Mazzarelli. Let's go Lachy!
Sorry about no updates, I'm still following and will do a big review of what I missed when I have some free time.
Also, I don't think Karl Hammarling being absent from the race is anything to shout about. If Mikel is that young Karl must surely only be a wee boy at this time.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Interesting article from Cook, don't worry, I don't want Vague to take the 'Coca-Cola thing' either, so Sylvain will help to stop him by winning.
Do you mean Lipawsky by 'The French Lip'? Not sure at all on that one, can't make sense if you mean something else or him, but he's Swiss if you mean that (but I guess it was a joke ). and if you mean something else, then what?

I'm quite sure Karl is Mikel's uncle
Also, Matt angerful(l) blog post is incoming!
EDIT: Not sure if today though

Matt probably angry at the race officials who should've put him as the winner, being Italian
@trekbmc: Cook is renown for messing up. He thought Bauer was a Yankee before, too, so at least it's somewhere close to Switzerland Also love how Cook always misspells the competition's names or gives them silly nicknames, like to ridiculize

Ok, should have remembered that. I agree about the nicknames though.

When writing as Elliot, I try to think of him as a pretty narrow minded ignoramus. He is insecure amongst these cross guys and his only defence is portray some sort of false confidence.
One consequence is to come up with nicknames for his rivals usually meant to antagonise. Some of these include:
Old maid/git/bastard - dries cornelis
Franny/sprog/mistress - Francis vague
For example.
With Sylvian, Elliot is rather taken by him giving him some verbal back and so he calls him the French lip. He knows he speaks French though is Swiss, lip goes with lippy which means he thinks sylvian has a big mouth much like him.

Well Lipawsky also speaks Romanch (Swiss)
Yeah, I know it's just Cook's opinion, but I think he's pretty wrong and those comments were mostly against Vague. (but then again, Cook is as you said )
Pretty good idea for an insulting nickname if you think about it.
Although I always love the way he talks about Cook and Vague.
