After that anti-climax of a Super Bowl, I got a nasty stomach bug not even an hour later and spent more time today in my bathroom than in my bed...
At least no university this week Grin

Try getting a stomach bug that reveals itself on the day you fly from Colombo to Manchester Pfft

I am a 100% certain a long lost subitem of Murphy's Law is "No matter under which circumstances, you always feel worse the day you fly than the day before and the day after."

Not true. I was ill for 8 days after. Knew I shouldn't have had the prawns.

Good morning, everybody! After an extended hiatus, I return to PCM.Daily, hopefully not to go out in another blaze of glory. Quick update about the 4 months of absence--
All of my family issues have been properly sorted. I now have connections in all corners of the world, after signing on with DICE as an intern. I hope you all have had a good time whilst I've been gone. Smile

EDIT: Also, I may be starting a new story, now that I've got a new computer, and am able to do things in video format. Grin

Welcome back my friend

I love video stories! Perhaps commentary as well...? Wink

Anyways I feel it is extremely ironic that my "stage mentor" has decided to come back the day after I ask about a stage issue in Pedro. Pfft

Will pay one trillion Pokedollars for your kind words on BF4. Pfft

But really, I can't tell them what's wrong, because they fix it and make another problem instead...

Tell them to not screw up the new Battlefront game! I know they won't, but still.

Have some friends at DICE who worked back when they made racers, and one of them still is there now. Says it's a great company to work for, especially when compared to other EA subsidiaries

Brits will get this: Goddamn the NHS!

Everyone else can get this: So following about 3-4 months of work around a Cartilage Tear in my knee, which most recently culminated with me being off all unnecessary exercise until i could get an operation on it, i have no switched doctors.
Don't know why it was switched but anyway. New guys takes a look at me yesteday, asks some questions and pokes around at my knee. "Doesn't seem like cartilage damage"... WTF!
According to him it's a Patella Ligament thing. So while they sort themselves out i'm off the operation waiting lists and being moved over to a physio. Upside, i could be back playing handball in 2-4 weeks which is just in time for Nationals. Downside is there is no real way to sort it out. It's not torn/broken so the only option is to do some physio and wait for it to get back to normal... Considering it's been 11months now that part worries me.
Long and short of it all, goddamn the NHS! Now can i please get back to some sport

I agree. Good morale, I just wish they would fix the major problems in the BF games before release.

Lets hope the physio can sort it all out for you so you don't have to have an operation Wink

I'm considering replacing my old mobile phone (8 years old) for a newer, better and more modern smart phone. I've been looking at something along the lines of Samsungs S3 or S4.

My only problem is that todays phones seem awefully big. I mean, isn't it a problem sitting down, or moving in general, with a phone like the S4 in your front pocket?

I have recently bought a Samsung S4 with similar worries but I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty flat and the size is otherwise no problem in the pocket (maybe it would be if you wear really tight pants, which I don't). I usually don't feel it at all and found myself reaching into the pocket to ensure it was still there.

As for the operating, that is fine for me, too. If you want to reach into the upper left corner, you have to move your hand a bit, otherwise it's all still manageable with your thumb (unless you have a really small hand Wink).

So no, for me, the size isn't a problem at all. I recently looked for something on my "old" iPhone 4 and it all seemed incredibly small, so you get used to it very quickly.

No, not really. You get used to it really fast, and I;ve never had a situation where it hasn't fit in my pocket or anything like that. And you will probably come to love the big screen as it makes a lot of things that much better. Its probably safe to assume that your older phone will feel like a brick in comparison to an S3/4 because it will be thinner which is nice!

(I still have way more trouble fitting my wallet into my pockets than my phone. )

Where I got my phone, I had a 7 day money back warranty so if you do have an issue, more than likely you will be able to return it.
