Second of all, its quite strange to see people studying English in the ways we study foreign languages (for me Spanish) here.

Secondly, I can see how it would be a bit strange. Interestingly though, it seems the methods of learning the language is fairly similar to how I learned Italian. English would no doubt be more frustrating with all its' crazy pronunciations and spellings, but things such as learning the tenses and how to say what time it is are both very familiar.
