Can someone upload the Descr file from the 2008 TDF variant?
Just make sure that the stage files are named the same as in the .descr file.

Hey Roturn! I've just played your Ronde van Vlaanderen 2010, and I just want to say that there is a house on the top of the Muur which is IN the road. I thought that it did not look well, so I decided to say it.

I guess he knows it (mentioned a lot of times, and he must have played it several times as well)

Ok! It played quite awesome by the way. It was really realistic. (except for that house then )

I think I already forgot about it again.
I think I started to "repair" it, but on the hill there was always something new then that was weird.
So I decided to have the hill percentages as realistic as possible. This had higher priority than this one house then. Not the best way to do it but well.

Have modified my Paris Roubaix.
All narrow roads are being changed to normal roads now. So the blocking issue in PCM11 can be solved.
I had no time to test it several times but the first try was pretty promising.

Ignore the teams and strength. I tested it with my story DB from PCM10, where I am in the 4th season.
Feel free to test as well and post it here in the thread using the spoiler function.

Looks very nice roturn, thanks for taking the time to do it
Just tested it for the first time, I also liked the results. Biggest group in the Top 10 was made of 4 riders, 6th-10th. Boonen won it in a very dominant way, kinda like Cancellara in 2010.

Note: 2011 DB.
142 riders finished the race. The pace was quite hard in the first cobbles, but after the bigger sections there was no breakaway and the peloton took it very easy. I was trying not to make the race hard, as to not modify much the results, but it was still easy when we got to Arenberg so I upped the pace there (playing with Leopard btw). With 50 or so kms came the attacks by Cancellara, Flecha and Boonen, who would go solo already now and leave both others behind, while a group of 14 riders I think was the next chasing one. Several kms later Hushovd joined the chasing duo. He and Flecha would attack on the next section of cobbles and leave Cancellara behind, which was already one of the last sections. The chasing group behind had also split into several smaller ones and individual riders. Cancellara eventually got back to Flecha and just beat him in the sprint for 3rd.
I will run a couple more tests when I have more time. Also re-play the old version to have results, number of cyclists left in main group with X kms to go, etc.. Another test which might be interesting is test with the man-game DB, or also with normal DBs, and do nothing with a control team. Hopefully the next tests will also give good results

Ran two more tests: first with a control team (Euskaltel ), another with a team with small prospects (Lampre). Unfortunately I've just discovered that only the first tests results were exported. Nevertheless I wrote down the number of riders in the main group at some points:
Euskaltel test:
Way too easy pace, still 160! riders with 60 kms to go
Down to 60 riders with 50 kms left (split)
Another split leaving 40 riders with 40 kms left
Then Cancellara goes solo, Hushovd and Ballan join, soon 2 more riders join, and just into the velodrome the second group made of 5 riders join, making it a 10 rider-sprint, won by Hushovd. 162 riders finished in time.

Lampre test:
This time a harder pace, 67 riders left with 100 kms to go
Down to 41 riders with 50 kms left, and 34 riders with 40 kms to go
Didn't follow the moves on the front and results weren't exported, all I know is that the maximum number of riders in front group was 5 (some time after the finish I scrolled all groups to the front and E1 said 5, but they could have joined after the finish). Only 71 riders finished the race.
These two results were not as promising as the initial ones, but then again the narrow-roads version usually doesn't give results too different from these.
Btw, is it just me or for the others in the post-race newspaper it appears XRider wins the \"Hell of the North\" (with these \ \ )?
Edit: btw, would there be any chance that you could re-export the race including the Roubaix-specific commentaries (beginning, Troisvilles, Carrefour de l'Arbre and velodrome)? It's very nice to hear them

I might give it a go later. Probably next weekend where I have 4 days off in a row. Am not that used into the commentary stuff but should be able to get into it.
The results are not that much different to the narrow roads indeed. But there is one big advantage imo. With the narrow roads there always have been 4-5 riders with ~78+ stats, that got blocked by weaker helpers, who did the pace before or just protected their leaders. So some of the big favorites had no chance to perform on their level.
With the normal roads all big names are ahead except of some with a bad form, bad daily form or the riders with crashes or punctures.

I don't like the narrow roads in normal stages, unless they are really needed because of something special with the road. What I really hate is all these variants with narrow roads spread all over the place, that really ruins the race. However in classics like Roubaix, Vlaanderen etc I think they are needed. Because the narrow roads are a big factor irl. The classics is supposed to be messy and tricky. So the narrow roads in the classics is a part of the charm playing those races. But keep them out of normal road stages indeed.

In normal stages I generally keep them out. Except for my first 2-3 races I have ever created.
In these classics I have two versions now. One with narrow and one without. I also like the charm of it as it looks sometimes weird to see that wide roads in P-R.
But the results look similar and sometimes even better.

I agree with that. However, if using narrow roads means we'll see 6, 8 rider groups sprints at the end of Roubaix more often than using normal roads, I'd surely go for the normal roads. So far I've seen 5 tests in this thread, 3 gave good results, 1 'normal' and 1 not really good. The 'messy' classics imo only appeared with PCM 11 and the solid rider model. In PCM 09 for instance, they weren't messy and the roads were wide (weird looking). However I'd surely go for PCM 09 gameplay of cobble classics (and classics in general).
