Winning a flat time trial
By: SkyIsTheLimit | Average Rating: 4.37 | Game version: PCM13
In a time trial, you need to maintain a steady rhythm throughout. It is important to gauge what effort will be the optimum effort for the TT.
Between 0-10km, the optimum is usually between 75 & 85. Between 10-30km, it is between 65 and 75. 30km+ are between 57 and 66.
Use your first few guys to gauge what effort is best. It is extremely important that your main man does not run out of the green bar before the end (represented by blue bar), so try to decipher the optimum effort using your weaker guys.
NB As your main man is likely to have better TT stats, he will use up less energy (green bar) for the same effort than worse riders (eg Cancellara will last a lot longer on 70 than Chris Horner).
Good luck, and if you have any riders who are using a good time trialist, you should be able to gain time on your rivals on any difficulty (but you probably wont win on extreme without using Martin). Home | Submit a new Tip & Trick
Something I forgot to mention: At the end of a stage race, if your freshness is not excellent (ie very good, good or average), then you will not be able to go as fast as you will run out of energy quicker.
