Adding Equipment for PCM14

Adding 2014 Equipment


1. Open sta_brand and here's how every column works :

IDbrand the ID must not be shared by another in this table
gene_sz_name Name of the Equipment
fkIDbrandtype There is Wheels, Frames , Gear, Helmets and Glasses
fkIDbrand_link This option is used when you want to connect a frame to a wheel, just give the ID of the wheel/frame in sta_brand
value_f_pts leave at 0
fkIDcountry_main Country of the original company behind the equipment, find the ID in sta_country
fkIDcountry_secondary If there is a second nationality for the equipment designer
Cyclist Type Makes the equipment only available to a specific rider type, leave blank
The last 3 column's need 0 to be added.

2. You've now added the equipment, now it's time to link it from the folders

For this you need to open sta_equipment_template and sta_equipment_model and the template table is used for the stats and which type the equipment is for.

3. Now let's go into sta_equipment_model :

IDequipment_model ID for the model, which can't have the same ID as any other in the table
fkIDequipment_marque the ID of the equipment in sta_brand
fkIDequipment_template the ID of the template for the equipment found in sta_equipment_template and here you have to select the template, which gives the equipment the right info in the game

You can find out what the equipment is for / it's type and f.e under CONSTANT there is a template called mountain, so therefore the equipment will be fitting for the mountains, NOTE : you can't edit this table
gene_sz_name name of the series in the brand f.e
gene_sz_asset the base abbreviation for the equipment, the link to the 3D/Cyclist/Equipments files
gene_IDphoto 0
value_i_version 1
value_i_default 23
value_i_lastyear_up 2010

Now the equipment show work, but it's best that you can compare to the other equipment already there and see how f.e the abbreviations are working Wink

3 = Sprinting/Flat Frame
4 = Cobble Frame
5 = Time Trial Flat Frame
6 = Hilly/Mountain Time Trial Frame
51 = Wheel Type 1
52 = Wheel Type 2
53 = Wheel Type 3
54 = Wheel Type 4
55 = Time Trial Wheel Disc
56 = Wheel Type 5
57 = Cobble Wheels
102 = Helmet
103 = Glasses
112 = Time Trial Helmet

Value_i_version and the other values, shouldn't they be more flexible.
I mean it's the version of a model, could be 2 and 3 also.
question WHAT IS the default. I put 22,24,25 in as well and can't see any difference.
Anyone know how the different frames and wheels are rated by the game.

value_i_lastyear should be the year of the frame or wheel, so it could be 2011,2012 or 2013 (perhaps even 2014)

Need to know about the 3 values for sure. Your standard numbers are not all to sure.

I do know that when filling in gene_sz_asset it is CASE SENSITIVE. Back to the old days of PC handling I guess.
So have a look in your folder if any block letters are present.

@clamel : I can simply reply to you, that the reason for these numbers are to avoid unnecessary bugs and since all the other pieces of equipment has these intervals, it's best to keep it that way to avoid just that Wink

In the end you can only care about that it's working and not having a small detail isn't that important, so do what I've told you to do and it should work just fine Wink
