TDF v PCM - Stage 3
Stage 3 - Waregem to Compiègne Mathieu Ladagnous and Nicolas Vogondy were later joined by Stephane Auge and Frederik Willems before being caught inside the final kilometre. Cancellara used the cobbles and his TT skills to power away to win.

SNDeluxe No surprises that the break failed, as De Jongh led Boonen out perfectly for the win. 1 Tom Boonen QUICKSTEP - INNERGETIC 5h32'57 2 Oscar Freire RABOBANK s.t. 3 Robbie McEwen PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t. 4 Stuart O'Grady TEAM CSC s.t. 5 Daniele Bennati LAMPRE - FONDITAL s.t. 6 Robert Hunter BARLOWORLD s.t. 7 Francisco Ventoso SAUNIER DUVAL - PRODIR s.t. 8 Thor Hushovd CREDIT AGRICOLE s.t. 9 Steven De Jongh QUICKSTEP - INNERGETIC s.t. 10 Erik Zabel TEAM MILRAM s.t. 16 Fabian Cancellara TEAM CSC s.t. 20 Danilo Napolitano LAMPRE - FONDITAL s.t.
GCT The top 2 in the KoM classification - both tied on 3 pts, Isasi and Garcia Acosta, both made it into the break, it was caught before the mountain sprint though. Tomas Voeckler launched a daredevil attack with over 30km to go, he took the mountain points and hung on until the sprint began at 3km to go. Lampre messed up big time in the sprint as Bennati lost Napolitano's wheel. It looked like Napolitano would win, until he stopped sprinting with 500m to go. Zabel took the stage just ahead of hushovd who came too late. Hushovd did not mind though as he maintains his green jersey lead, and more importantly, takes the Yellow jersey. But what of Cancellara? He crashed in the descent from the small hill and lost a lot of time. 1 Erik Zabel TEAM MILRAM 5h29'59 2 Thor Hushovd CREDIT AGRICOLE s.t. 3 Daniele Bennati LAMPRE - FONDITAL s.t. 4 Francisco Ventoso SAUNIER DUVAL - PRODIR s.t. 5 Robert Hunter BARLOWORLD s.t. 6 Bernhard Eisel T-MOBILE TEAM s.t. 7 Danilo Napolitano LAMPRE - FONDITAL s.t. 8 Robert Forster GEROLSTEINER s.t. 9 Tom Boonen QUICKSTEP - INNERGETIC s.t. 10 Robbie McEwen PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t. 170 Fabian Cancellara TEAM CSC + 6'34
Real Name A bit of Realism as Ladagnous found the breakaway. In the bunch sprint, Lampre did not go wrong and Napolitano led out Bennati for a simple victory. Boonen was left disappointed in 4th, 3rd place would have put him in Yellow. 1 Daniele Bennati LAMPRE - FONDITAL 5h35'01 2 Erik Zabel TEAM MILRAM s.t. 3 Oscar Freire RABOBANK s.t. 4 Tom Boonen QUICKSTEP - INNERGETIC s.t. 5 Bernhard Eisel T-MOBILE TEAM s.t. 6 Danilo Napolitano LAMPRE - FONDITAL s.t. 7 Robbie McEwen PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t. 8 Filippo Pozzato LIQUIGAS s.t. 9 Robert Hunter BARLOWORLD s.t. 10 Stuart O'Grady TEAM CSC s.t. 102 Fabian Cancellara TEAM CSC s.t.
Oh and mine is the only one with Cance still in yellow. Hushovd and Vino have yellow in the other 2. Stage 4 comes later today, and hopefully tomorrow I will manage to catch up to date!
