A day late and a dollar short. But with head writer Ian Butler off on a mini-vacation and the rest of the admin team running low on free time at the moment, a day late is surely better than nothing. I'll try my best to pick up the peices for this week's edition.
June Story of the Month Results
After a few technical difficulties implimenting the new poll system for voting, I can now announce that Trek Factory Racing takes the honor of being named June Story of the Month with 15 votes over aCross the Road with 8. Congrats to admirschleck on his first Story of the Month victory.
While in the New Story of the Month competition history has also been made. We have our first tie! With 8 votes each, Il Bimbo d'bronzo by Re Leone and The Two of Us by Ian Butler and I are crowned co-winners. It can't hurt to mention that In The Pursuit of Glory wasn't far behind either with 6 votes.
PCM14 Files Everywhere
Pro Cycling Manager 2014 is nearly a month old and the community has been hard at work trying to make the game the best it can be. While our DB team had to relay the sad news that a PCM.Daily Realname DB is a no-go, there are still plenty of great downloads available to get the fullest experience possible out of PCM14.
Looking for some of these add-ons? Keep checking out the download section as Rin and SportingNonsense are doing the bulk of the work trying to keep up with all the new files being released almost daily now. Also for a more detailed approached you can always go directly to the PCM14 graphics, database, and stage subforums on the site to find projects to support and content to download.
Thread of the Week
Since the Tour de France stage threads won last week I have decided to pick out the World Cup thread once again as there is a new champion in the world of football (or soccer as I call it).
The thread skyrocketed to 124 pages over the past month as fandom and passion for the game was on full display, or overwhelming nationalistic support for member's home country depending on which way you look at it. Today sadness sets in as we realize we have to wait another 4 years for it to all happen again. |
