Pellizotti2 leaves the crew

Long-time admin Pellizotti2 has decided to step down from his position as administrator citing lack of motivation as the reason. Luckily for us, he has promised to stick around - he does have an all-important ManGame team after all ;-)

On a more serious note, it's of course a big shame to see Pelli leave the crew. Super talented, super knowledable, he's a huge asset to the community in general and was an excellent admin who among other things brought back the Weekly News.

A replacement is to be announced soon.

Stat Update to be released for Daily DB

We did promise an April release of the V2 of the PCM.daily 2014 DB, but we the month coming to an end soon, this seems rather unlikely - which, by the way, is entirely my fault as I haven't had the time to fulfil my tasks.

However, the rest of the DB team has been working hard, and our stat makers plan on releasing a post-classics stat update for the V1 in the coming days. So, definitely something to look forward too.

Teams announced for PCM14

With real name databases being released before the game itself, official team licenses are hardly something community members care about. However, it's still worth mentioning that Cyanide - via Twitter - have announced that 50 teams will be available with their real name and jerseys once PCM14 is released..

Only a few have been revealed so far - these are: Movistar, IAM, Color Code, Bardiani, Astana, Wallonie, Belkin. MTN and Veranclassic.

New databases released

The download section has been busy with visitors after FDB's release last week, so hopefully most of you have also noticed some of the other new goods on the shelves.

One is particularly worth mentioning: Stylus' 2000 DB. An excellent historical database with races/stages from back then and even old-style equipment and other nice details, eg. riders without helmets.

The other new database is the CFQBase V2 - a mix of old and current riders and even a women's team..

Polo leads bets after spring classics

With the first part of the season over, we can conclude that Polo_7 has been the best fantasy better - marginally sharper than rastaff. However, it's still very close, and no one has broken away yet with that usual wonder-bet that wins you the game

(Oh, and sorry for missing out on making bets for LBL...)

We all know Jesleyh is the new admin.

Shame to see Peli go. Bringing back the Weekly News has been one of the most beneficial initiatives for the site since I joined. Good to know he won't be leaving the wholes site.

Taking all bets on new Admin! Got a few ideas but i'll probably be wrong.
Thank you Pelli for some great service and work on the site. Done in a great fashion.

Stat update will be interesting, although Alak makes out there is little major change. Arashiro to 77HL though!

Sad to see Pelli leave the admin position, but it would not make sense, if he does not have enough time and motivation. Hopefully he will be still around, as one of my favourite members here.

Anyway, not sure who the new admin could be, I guess the majority vote is Jesleyh, but I wouldn't be so sure. Thing is I'm not sure it could be anyone else.

I totally agree with Jesleyh - Shonak would definitely make an excellent admin.

And sad to see Pelli going, but there are just more stuff important than an internet forum, sometimes. Glad to see he'll stay active.

The team announcements are very pretty, but so far i believe none of them are new from PCM13 (barring new teams/combos)?
2000DB is pretty cool, very nicely made with good depth. Obviously it's strong point is stages but the graphics are good as well.
CFQV2 is unique. Not quite sure on how much fun it would be to play with but it was fun to look through the teams.
No LBL betting was a bit sad. Close campaign aided by a lack of dominance across the races. Roubaix would have thrown people and before then you just couldn't be sure.

Pelli was a great Admin and the weekly news is one of my favourite parts of the site, but indeed Pelli has been really busy the past few months and its always nice to see when an admin steps down to make room for others whom they think can do a better job (although not always true, and will be difficult in this case

)

Please stick around as much as you can

Sad to see Pelli step down as admin, but a fantastic job he has done. The Weekly News is a fantastic and important addition to the site. I echo what other have said, I hope you stick around.

There are a number of people on here who will make a good admin, it is a position I would be interested in myself, if available.

Unfortunate for you Pelli to leave, but of course, if you need time to other things, it's ok.
Life before PCM as you know.

But still, if you really need time to follow the Man-Game, why don't you upgrade your HQ, it seems a little of date.

Like many others have said, it is sad to see Pelli leave the admin team, though good to know you're not leaving the forum; you are one of the most invaluable members here, with amazing storymaking and stagemaking talent and general helpfulness and community spirit in there as well, hopefully you can stick around a while longer
