With a new (and rather surprising) new world champion in the shape of a certain mr. Costa, it's also time for a new edition of Weekly News. The usual writer, Pellizotti2, is taking a break this week, so you will have to do with me this time around.
Recap: The probably last patch is ready A long wait came to an end when Cyanide released the fourth and probably last patch for Pro Cycling Manager 2013 earlier this week, fixing numerous rather severe bugs. Your game should automatically ask you to get the update, but if not, you can download it right here.
PCM.daily DB to be released soon Soon after the release of the patch, the questions started looming over when the long-awaited PCM.daily Database would hit the download section. That's fair enough considering that the team behind - including yours truly - have constantly been stating that we'd release the DB once Cyanide fixed the career bugs.
The situation is the same as it's been ever since the release of the Real Name DB: We're working on the project every day, and we want to get it out there just as much as you want to download it ;-) In next week, we will focus on the finishing touches - and yes, the goal is to release it sometime over the next seven days. We will also start publishing the list of teams, features etc. early which might make the wait a little more interesting.
USA gets a little bit of love from Cyanide American? And getting a little tired of the same 21 stages of the console game, Tour de France for PS3 and XBOX? Well, in that case you're probably playing GTA or FIFA by now... but soon there's a reason to find the TdF disc again.
The stage race Criterium International that was released as DLC in Europe back in July is finally making its way to the American version of the PSN Store - on October 10th, to be exact. Better late than never, as some would say...
New tips and tricks to explore For the creative types out there, there's a good reason to check out the tips and tricks section.
In this video tutorial, mede33 explains how to make a mini shirt in the default style that you know from PCM12 and PCM13, while
The Hobbit has a little something for both the stage makers and the database makers. In this tutorial, how to create a circuit race in the stage editor is described, while the process of adding a rider to a database can be learned here.
Don't forget that you can add your own tips and tricks right here.
New Cyanide project hits Kickstarter It's a new world when it comes to funding of various projects. With crowd-funding sites like Kickstarter, you don't necessarily have to depend on rich partners to make your ideas reality - instead, fans can unite and tip a small amount of money each to make things happen.
This new reality has also hit Cyanide who are looking to axe the publishers. Instead, it's hoping that you can make its most recent project, Pro Rugby Manager 2014, become reality.
Cyanide is aiming to raise 100.000 £ in just one month - a bit optimistic, perhaps, but the first couple of thousands has already been pledged.
By donating, you can get various benefits. For example, you will receive a digital copy of the game, a thank you-note and your name in the credits for just 10 £.
