 Fantasy Betting is by now integral part of PCM.Daily. And this year it has been as its most active since its beginning. Hopefully we can continue that through 2013 too! There can only be one winner and this year, I think it's fair to say ikaros33 has crushed the competition. With accumulated 28,870 PCM$ this was a knockout margin. ikaros33 made a total of 59 bets through the season. He lost in 37 of these and came as victor in 22. It didn't began pretty, 16 lost bets in a row, however all with small amounts of PCM$ placed, making those looses not too important. Tom Boonen and his famous wins in cobbles changed ikaros33 luck. Through rest of the season he won and he lost, but through his wins he had pretty nice amount of PCM$ safe in the bank.
Steady progress until the end of the year where the big bet breakthrough happened at Vuelta a España. Stage 9: Stage Winner where ikaros bet 450.00 for Another Rider and has won massive 3375 PCM$ making him very handsome profit. That was the key for the rest of his success.
Next day and ikaros makes another winning move. Vuelta a España: Stage 10: Stage Winner. Betting 750.00 John Degenkolb and winning 1612.5 PCM$. This bet was quite safe after last day's break and the form Degenkolb was on making another tidy profit. With that much money in bank, ikaros could bet large amounts for largely "winnable" bets and make big money. His next 8 bets were all with plenty of PCM$.
He lost 1300 PCM$ on next two bets, before recouping the two looses on another Vuelta stage, making 2250 PCM$. He went to loose 2000 PCM$ and next day win staggering 18,750 PCM$ on Stage 19 of Vuelta, once again, another rider option proving quite profitable. With such staggering profit, ikaros33 made quietly safe bet in Worlds ITT, placing 4,009 PCM$ on Tony Martin, and with no big surprise winning 10,022 PCM$. With so much profit made, ikaros33 was almost sure of winning the PCM.Daily betting for 2012, however he still made two rather riskier bets. One for Gilbert, proving quite successful, again making massive 5400 PCM$ and a small loss on Joe Dombrowski in Worlds U23.
Analysing this, shows interesting facts. You can do well betting through the whole season on all events, even making 16 bets lost in a row you can do quite well in the end ;) I think it's important to accumulate 300-400 PCM$ in the bank at one point and then wait for a bet that is largely safe to win, with the profit won, you can use it to bet fairly large amounts without big risk, if you loose you still stay in fairly safe situation, if you win you can get pretty darn rich quick. And of course, you also need to have a small side of a true gambler ;)
