For the past couple of weeks, there has been a TDF Predictions thread up on our forum, with many members predicting the Top 10 in the Tour de France GC, amongst other aspects of the race. Using these predictions - awarding 10 points to a rider for a 1st place prediction, 9 points for a 2nd place etc etc - Ive compiled a projected Top 10 for the Tour.
Interestingly, it is Andy Schleck who comes out on top. 40 people may have said Contador to win, versus the 31 opting for Schleck - but while amost everyone has Schleck in the Top 2, a handful didnt select Contador in the Top 10, thus skewing the rankings somewhat. Behind them, theres expected to be a 3-way bettle for 3rd - with Samuel Sanchez edging Gesink by barely anything, and Jurgen van den Broeck rounding out the Top 5.

If you havent looked at it already, ricotero_uy has put together a very good topic as a guide to the Tour de France, while today's opening Tour de France stage can be discussed in the Stage 1 topic. |
