Over the past years, PCM.daily has always made some sort of joke on the 1st of April. Usually, we (try to) fool our members, but this year, we wanted to do something else: to fool other PCM-sites and their members - and we're glad to say that we succeeded.
With the headline "New features in PCM10 announced" (edit: the news article has been deleted from the site and replaced with an explanation to the members), PCMNorge goes on to describe several features which Cyanide has previously denied being part of PCM10, e.g. an extended track mode and "Be a Pro". Why? Because they earlier today received an e-mail which was supposedly from Cyanide .... but in reality was from PCM.daily ;)
The PCMNorge members did seem rather estatic on the news, though. Pellizotti said that it sounded fantastic, although he did express some concerns with the possible amount of bugs. Obkris mentioned that he now looks even more forward to PCM10, while TwaZi thought that the Be a Pro-mode was "Awesome!". Lampre will undoubtely be the most disappointed. He has never looked so much forward to a PCM release, he said on the forum.
But in the end, we're sorry to say this - but we fooled you, PCMNorge!
Happy April Fool's Day everyone.

PCM2010: New Features Revealed!
As it's already been announced previously, there's no doubt that PCM2010 will be a revolution in the PCM-series. We've withheld the most interesting new features, though - until now!
Exclusively for PCMBenelux, we'd like to announce a couple of new features that have not been announced before. These announcements will later be sent to other PCM fan sites, so your exclusivity will only last for half a day. I hope that your members will enjoy this.
Teams now disbands and are replaced by new ones Currently, there are several of the top teams, for example Caisse d'Epargne, Team Saxo Bank and Team Milram, which are looking for a new sponsor for 2011. Sometimes, they are succesful, sometimes they are not. We've made a feature which simulates this, meaning that teams can now disband and are replaced by new ones. This can of course be edited in the DB, so you have the possibility of adding more upcoming teams.
More team cars and added importance In PCM2010, there are now two team cars per team. When there are breakaways, you will have to decide where the team cars go. Do you want a car behind your leader or the guy you have in the front breakaway? In the end, this can become crucial as the riders will perform worse if they dehydrate.
Be A Pro comes to PCM2010! As requested by many fans of PCM, we'll be introducing a Be A Pro mode! This is, along with the new graphic engine, of course the most notable new feature. If you choose to manage a rider, you not only get to control your rider on the bike, but off it aswell, in a Sims-style addition! When you go to races as an individual rider you do not have control over the rest of your team, but can instead request moves to be made - depending on your position in the team. If you do not ride well enough your team may well fire you, and you will have to negotiate a contract with other teams. We'll release the first couple of screenshots of this very soon.
More new track events As track has become one of the most used features of PCM, we've decided to expand it with two new events, Team Pursuit and Individual Pursuit. Especially Team Pursuit requires extraordinary team work, online in particular, and we expect this to become very popular. Furthermore, we've also changed the points race and scratch events, so it's now possible to take a lap on the peloton.
Thanks a lot for your interest. We'll communicate more in a couple of weeks from now.
