This morning, Cyanide's new season-based online game (and best of all, free!), Cycling Manager Online, was launched.
A lot of you participated in Tour de France: Online and therefore know the basics of the game, but as we've described previously, a lot have changed. First of all, you now get to control your team throughout an entire season (well, not ALL races, but the most important ones are there). More importantly, the training system has been changed, meaning that the skill tree is gone and replaced by a more 'realistic' rider progression system. Secondly, a PCM-like rider fitness feature has also been implented.
In general, the game has been tuned from being a quick and fun solution to one where your long-term planning and tactical skills are in focus, meaning that it's more "manager like" this time.
The "official" racing starts on the 17th of December. By registering now, you will have a chance to play a few tutorial races, thus getting an idea of how to play the game before it gets serious. It's also worth mentioning that a division system will be implented in January / February. The higher you are on the ranking by then, the better division you'll be in.
For the ones who haven't played the game at all, a guide for the beginners has been made available.
And the most important part of this news article: the link to the game. Enjoy! |
