During the Tour de France, many of you participated in Tour de France Online, a browser-based management game made by Cyanide. A few of you later participated in the Vuelta - and now, they've presented another game: Cycling Manager Online, a full-season game where you will be able to control a squad of 14 riders during an entire season.
The game is, of course, quite similar (in concept) to the two previous games, but there are a few very notable changes. First of all, the skill tree part of the game has been replaced with a totally new rider progression part. Secondly, fitness has also been implented to the game and looks quite a lot like the fitness system in PCM. And thirdly, a thing that I like a lot, is that the game is no longer league-based. It's everyone vs. everyone in a hard battle for the 1st place.
As with the other games, it will be free to play, although there will probably be several extra features that you can buy.
The game will soon go beta where 2.000 players will be invited to participate. There will be a few prizes for the top players. We'll of course keep you noticed about the beta version.
You can read the full announcement at this link. And if that's not enough, there's a very long introduction to the new game at the official CyM Online: Vuelta Forum. |
