In an interview with the recently launched French site, PCM Club, Clément Pinget reveals a few more details about the upcoming Pro Cycling Manager 2009. It's not a lot, but for those who like track cycling, there's good news: Individual Scratch, Points Race, 200 meters with flying start (is that a discipline? I'm not much into track cycling) and a yet to be announced event have been implented in the game.

Another interesting feature is the possibility of creating your own team at the start of a career - something that has been very requested by the community. Other than that, there's not much news in the interview.

yeah flying 200m is usually used as the opening round in a sprint competition

200 meter with flying start is, the thing they do as qual for sprint races (please correct me if I'm wrong).

The new track disciplines are good.
The "create your team" thing is nice that they're looking at the desires of the fans. Not for me though, I crave realism.

And that's what's going to make or break the game for me: realism of races. We'll have to wait to see that.

I don't like the idea to create a team. I think it's more realistic to play at least the first year with the original rosters. But hey some will really enjoy this thingPfft

The "create your own team at the start of a career" made me want the game.... Darn! Now I got expectations! (That means I'll get disappointed, and dislike the game...)

i might try the create a team, i'm sure they'll be something limiting who you can have.
But also i think it's important to say that there wasn't much information in this interview

Sounds interesting but i agree with issoisso and i want to see what the new sponsors thing is aswell that sounds good as long as they fix the sprints and allow more breakaways to win i will be happy haha
