It's been a while since we last posted a Weekly News article (mainly due to me being busy with school), but we're back this week, and with PCM08 coming up shortly you can be sure to see this again week after week. So, enjoy!
New info on Radsport Manager Evolution PCMScandinavia, a Scandinavian fansite, is slowly turning into a fansite for Radsport Manager Evolution ;) This week, they posted a lot of new information about the game which supposedly will be released on the same day as PCM08, 19th of June 2008. The new information reveals that the game will be in real-time (1:1 scale), it will have a fully customizable DB, 40 teams and 1000 riders along with other minor details. They said they are focusing on quality instead of quantity which is clearly shown in the number of teams and riders ;) You can get the full details and 5 new screenshots over at our Scandinavian friends' website.
Smoothie announces PCM Monthly Smoothie, one of the main graphic artist at this site, has announced that he - along with some of the other regular PCM.daily visitors - will make a monthly PCM-magazine which is - surprisingly - called PCM Monthly. First release is set for the 31st of May, in a week, and it's supposed to be including articles about the Giro along with the latest information from PCM.daily and in the PCM world in general. For one, I'm looking very much forward to see what he and his team has been able to do.
PCM 08 goes gold - soon The beta testing session of Pro Cycling Manager 2008 is about to end, and except for the leaked screenshots, it has been very silent around the beta testing team. No leaked details, no information, yet there's still just one month until the release. This also means the gold version, which is basically the final version of the game, is about to be sent to the publisher who will then ship them to all the countries (first Netherlands, Belgium, France, etc.).
Cyanide announces new game Not too long ago, we here at PCM.daily reported about the weird photos which had started showing up at Cyanide's official website. We also combined the photos with a quote from the official blog, saying that Cyanide was currently working on a multiplayer game. And now, Cyanide has announced what we were thinking: They will be making a MMOG called Dungeon Party, which is described "as a game that leads two teams of intrepid players deep into a dungeon in search of treasure. Each team not only has to overcome the dirty tricks of the other side, but they also have to survive the numerous traps and monsters that lie within. The first team that gets out alive, WITH THE TREASURE, is the winner." The best thing about this is that - as far as I can read - it will be available for free. You can read more about it right here.
Contador will win the Giro After today's stage to the Giro the headline might not be all that wrong. However, this isn't supposed to be a cycling-related article, but more a resumé of the latest poll here at PCM.daily. We asked the members who they thought would win the Giro. 27 % went for Alberto Contador, 20 % for his team mate Andreas Klöden, 17 % for Riccardo Ricco and 16 % for Danilo Di Luca. Of the riders mentioned, Leonardo Piepoli was the one to score lowest with just 4 votes. In total, 471 people voted.
PCM07 World Championships going into the final phase On Friday the last round of the finals will be played, and that means the end of a long, hard way for some participants.
