Get rid of advertisements at PCM.daily

Quite a long time ago, PCM.daily decided to add a banner advertisement to the front page and a bunch of text link advertisements to the download pages. This was done to make sure that PCM.daily received money enough to keep the site running.
And things will stay like that. However, for people who have donated money to the site, the banners can now be removed. When you donate 10 € or above, you will be added to a User Group which won't see the advertisements placed around the site. This will apply for a year. After that, the advertisements will be visible again.

Please notice that we are not planning to make features availablle exclusively for donating / paying members. This should not be seen as some sort of "Gold Membership" and "Silver Membership" - it's solely a way of saying "thank you" to those who have donated to the site.

You can donate using the Donate-panel in the left of the screen. You can pay with MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and your PayPal account. Any donations below 10 € are of course also more than welcome. All money will be used solely for this site, PCMdaily.com


Thanks - both to non-donating and donating members. No matter what, you, the members, are those who keep the site going and alive.

I don't see the banner anyway (haha, Firefox plug-ins, I don't even see the ads when I want to see it) but I'm planning to donate in a few months....Let's see what happens.Wink

Well, as said, I don't want to force people to donate. It's a matter of people wanting to donate. If they really feel it's worth it, they are more than welcome to - and now, they can also get rid of the banners by donating.
Personally, I think I've only donated to another website once in all my years on the internet, so I'm more than thrilled that 4 people have donated. That's a lot more than I had ever expected Wink
