Interview with Clément -- this is what PCM08 will be like!
NewsOnce again, it's PCM.daily with the latest news about Pro Cycling Manager! As it's almost become a tradition, PCM.daily have interviewed Clément Pinget about the upcoming Pro Cycling Manager 2008. This time, we did a live interview with him at MSN which was done over two days. During those two days we got through a whole lot of the game, including Pro Cycling Manager 08's new Track Cycling-mode, the changes to the road race gameplay, the AI, and much, much more.

So, are you ready to see what's coming up this summer? Go ahead and read the interview with Clément Pinget right here.

Update: I forgot to ask what platforms the game would be available on. I got the answer for that question today -- the game will be released on PC, PSP - and "probably another platform". Interesting, huh?

2nd Update: PCMBenelux will be doing a follow-up interview soon (tomorrow?), and we will of course make sure to post it here as soon as it's published.

3rd Update: ... if anyone was wondering if the Olympics will be in the game -- they won't.

With PCM having so much potential to improve and the market for sports manager games other than F1 or Football being as small as it is, I really don't think that's a good idea.

They made several versions of Pro Rugby Manager and effing Horse Racing Manager. Dont think they are afraid of moving into pseudo-managerial territory.

I'm not debating that. I'm debating whether or not it's a good idea.

Besides, what is there really lacking out there? Luge manager?

"Wow! I just bought a new Luge! more aerodynamic! and a suit for the driver that looks even more like a sperm!"

no thanks...

Ive actually seen a Luge game before that wasnt entirely arcade-ish and actually had a "buying stuff" section... Then again, it was freeware so...

But as much as we doubt the intelligence about releasing a Pro Handball Manager, CyM1 in its day was most likely a pretty large gamble as well.

I hate handball...
#36 | issoisso on 03. February 2008 22:03
No doubt. The thing is that it took a while to establish a decent fanbase. Handball would be starting from scratch

There is already a good handball manager out here in germany, but somehow i actually forgot where i've seen it...Shockops:

It's really better if cyanide stays on Cycling Manager Series, there is still much to improve.

Btw. what about that PCMBenelux interview? ^^
