Database editing possible for Pro Cycling (PSP)
Other GamesThe impossible is possible - and it's, of course, made possible by our Japanese friend, Miya. Until now, everyone thought that editing the DB in the PSP-version of Pro Cycling Manager (named Pro Cycling) was impossible. However, it's actually quite simple. Connect your PSP to your computer, open the disc through Windows Explorer and copy the DB located in the Database-folder to your computer and edit it with PCM Kicker. It's as simple as that. Unfortunately, it also seems like it's impossible to change the jerseys which is a real shame since there's quite a lot "wrong" jerseys. This is because Cyanide decided to change the image files tu some weird .VPI-files which are uneditable. But let's see if the magician will figure out something in the end ;)

It just strikes me how hideous that game actually is. I mean, fer chris sake, it reminds me of Sega Rally. The old Sega Rally that is.

it's a PSP. don't expect Crysis-like graphics
#5 | jolly_antunes on 05. January 2008 13:58
Great graphics:lol::lol::lol:

isso: But look at games like Formula 1 2006 and GTA for PSP. They look, to say it the least, MUCH better than Pro Cycling.

Its a PSP, dont expect Sega Saturn-like graphics.

I find it ironic that in the rider selection picture, pressing the start button makes you quit.

We could work on the database with PCM Kicker. You can find more info on the forum of PCM Benelux. Here, there some Dutch speaking guys, so maybe you can translate it.

Don't forgot the mention PCM Benelux. Wink

This should be of great benefit to the 3 people that now have the PSP game in their possession. Sadly, I think Miya may be running out of ideas on what aspects of PCM he should change, if he has resorted to cracking the DB for PSP. Perhaps he, like the rest of us, hold our collective breath, in the hope that Cyanide have clicked and will revolutionize the 2008 Version and even incorporate some of the ideas and concepts we've all put forward. It remains to be seen

Im not exactly holding my breath. Yes, track cycling will be nice, no matter how retarded Cyanide is going to make it. But hoping for Cyanide to pull out nothing smaller than a miracle to break the "95% of identical code from year to year" cycle? I think not.

I'm actually ENJOYING the PSP version, but then I don't have a PC version (yet). Graphics come second to playability on a handheld for me, and it's kept me interested enough to get through a season in 10 days.

Am intrigued by the PCM kicker thing though - how do all the edits work bearing in mind that the PSP game is held on a UDM disc - do you copy the whole game, make the edits and then send the whole thing back to a memory stick?

The way modding usually works on a console is that you make all your changes and dump the whole game unto a media which a hacked/modded console would accept.
#15 | mrlol on 06. January 2008 15:43
as I said, theres a tutorial on how to edit a DB from the PSP version on pcmbenelux. I could translate it if you're interested.

If translating it wouldn't be a huge bind then I'd be interested - but please don't go to any trouble if it would be a time consuming exercise.

Cheers, Anthony

From an overall perspective, Frank And Ollie film has been composed especially for Disney dears. You can get more about this topic from https://www.sentencecorrection.org/online-sentence-checker/ this. Being one of the insane fans, I watched this film particularly.
