Career Mode and Gameplay
- A total of 173 teams with up to date rosters and stats (as of June 23rd)
- More than 220 additional races
- Correct dates for all races as far as they're available
- Races that have been moved due to Covid retain their original spots in the calendar (e.g. Paris-Roubaix, Mallorca Challenge etc.)
- Races that have not been held due to Covid in 2020 and/or 2021 remain on the calendar (e.g. London, Canada)
- 2021 routes for many races, as well as many additional variants
- Updated sponsor regions for all existing teams to reflect sponsorship and roster structure
- Correct names for team managers as well as correct mail suffixes
- Real trainers, physicians and scouts
- Favorite races for many of the major riders, updated popularity for all riders
- 2020 palmarès data and national champions
- Further historical palmarès data as far back as 2007 for major races
- Career stats (wins, GT and Monument participations) for all WT and PS riders
- Correct names for UCI World Tour, Vélo d'Or etc.
- Real life track cyclists
- Updated xmls so that leadout riders actually help in quick sim instead of hurt your sprinter (yes, that happens with the default files)
- Correct equipment brands for most WT and PT teams. Note though that this is only for ingame menus, not 3D racing, since equipment files from previous editions don't work well with PCM21
- Around 200 custom sponsors, including some previously disbanded teams
- Tens of thousands of new authentic regen names covering all countries
- More realistic distribution of new regens among countries; every country produces at least one rider per year
- Slightly lower starting stats, but more variance / higher chances of hybrid riders
Graphics
- 2021 shirts for all WorldTeams and ProTeams (including many accessoires and NC shirts) as well as for most Continental teams
- Updated rider photos for all WorldTeams and ProTeams as well as some Continental teams
- Updated logos for many races
- New logos for WorldTour and ProSeries replacing the CWT and PCT logos
